Would you do Jaylen and Smart for John Collins, Kevin Huerter, DeAndre Hunter + pick(s)?

It's not a bad trade, but right now I wouldn't. We are giving up the best player in the deal, and that always scares me. The only way i'd move Jaylen in a trade like that is if we have secured another elite offensive player like Beal, and are now looking for better secondary pieces to fit around them.

I can never figure out if Collins is a guy with good stats on a bad team. His stats do standout but the fact he keeps popping up in trade rumours tells me that his team kinda doesn't want him? I know he had the PED issue and some maturity issues but he still seems talented on paper. Anyway if he is the best player coming from the Hawks then I concur with Fresh...scares me to give up Brown for Collins.. because then you're hoping Hunter really blossoms and he already has been injured a few times.

Would you do Jaylen Brown for Buddy Hield + Haliburton? Sacramento gets a legit All Star in Brown to pair with Fox, and we get Hield as a shooter and a very promising young player in Haliburton who has shown great upside. Tried it on the Trade Machine and it works out.

I'd like to see if we can pry away Goga Bitadze from IND. I envisioj him to be a good fit next to Rob Williams.

Tried it on the Trade Machine and it works out. Like the trade DM mentioned, Boston would first have to secure another star before i'd entertain moving Jaylen for complementary pieces. tho i do love haliburton. why couldnt memphis have been just a little bit worse that season we couldve been in position to draft him ourselves?

Haliburton is too inexperienced as it stands. Jaylen is much better than him. Haliburton would be a nice third wheel on this team much like Barnes but again Sac has to agree to trade them. Barnes is the more experienced of the two. Haliburtons upside is probably Barnes maybe a little higher but eh.

Yeah except I feel that Barnes contributes very little in terms of getting other teammates involved. There is huge potential in Rob Will if only he had the right floor general. I see what CP3 is doing for Ayton and I realistically think that Rob Will could be as productive as Ayton.

From what it sounds like, Brad is trying to avoid the repeater tax rule, so he's looking to unload a bit more salary -- which makes sense because we are not contenders.
Dennis Schroeder for the Cavs' disabled player exemption (for losing Colin Sexton)?

I'm ready to punt this season and focus on next year and beyond.
Roll the rest of the season with Smart, Jaylen, Tatum, Horford and RWill. Run a bench of Richardson, Pritch, Romeo, Nesmith, and Grant. They might show their youth and may throw away games -- but we really need to know what we have in these guys.
Move Schroeder for whatever we can get. I'd really like to see if we can trade him for Jalen Smith (Suns). We need a young versatile big man who can rebound, defend and shoot threes.

I always thought we had no chance of resigning Schroder, and for that reason was certain he'd be traded before the deadline, when we could at least get something for him. But I've seen quotes from him that indicate money might not be the most important thing to him. He may just be tired of bouncing around the league and willing to play for way less than most, including me, assumed. I've also seen stats that show the starting five has even better stats with him in there than with Smart in there. All of which is a long-winded way of saying maybe we keep him and trade Smart. I have no idea, but I'd assume Brad has had discussions with Schroder's agent and has a good feel for whether we could resign him at the money we're allowed to spend.
I have also written off this season. I just don't see it happening for this group. I agree that the immediate goal is to get some cap tax relief, but I wouldn't mind a bigger move.

I'd like to know the data of when Schroder plays with the starter vs Smart playing with thr starters. I've been hearing the starting 5 of Smart, Jaylen, Tatum, Horford and RWill have been putting up really impressive numbers.
I know that DS performs better as a starter vs coming off the bench.
Yeah, DS said that over the summer, Brad told him there would be a chance for DS to be here long term, and that DS was also open the idea.
I'm not sure he's the right player for us -- he can be inconsistent with his jumper and this is an area we really need to address.

Bulpett says if the team doesn't reach its potential, Jaylen might ask to be traded.
Time to explore this scenario.
Maybe Jaylen is thinking he should be the Man, instead of playing in Tatum's shadow.
Boy, what can we get for Jaylen? A fairly good haul.

Where could Jaylen even go that he could take over and be the man..
It'd have to be a pretty bad team. Magic? To play alongside umm... whoever they have? Pelicans? Next to Ingram once Zion leaves? Detroit? Does he want to waste his prime rebuilding with Cade?
Because right now, Jaylen isn't the no.1 on most teams that are contenders or top tier.
But you're right. He would fetch a pretty good haul to be a team's 2nd star. At least 2x 1st rounders and a young talent.
