I can't believe the Jazz blew a 25 point lead to a Kawhi-less Clipper team. What an awful way to be eliminated! I didn't see much of the game but apparently Terance Mann was terrific. I wonder if he was named after the James Earl Jones character in Field of Dreams? One of my favorite movies.

What a great Game 7 in Brooklyn! I can't really say the better team won, because it's pretty obvious the Nets would have won this series if not for injuries, but I am definitely glad to see them knocked out. Still, Durant was a warrior, again playing the whole way and setting an all-time 7th game record with 48 points.
Rooting for the Hawks tonight against the Sixers.

Bucks season was saved by inches. If Durant's foot was just an inch smaller it would've been a game ending 3 pointer. Watching the Bucks screw up two inbound plays...I doubt they'd be able to score in that final 1 second after Durant scored that long 2 to tie the game.

Go Suns and Hawks. If Philly wins then go Bucks.

I can't believe how well things are falling. Lakers, Nets and Sixers are all gone before the conference finals. At this point I don't really hate any of the teams left, but I'd like to see the Suns and Hawks in the Finals.
Simmons is pretty much a laughingstock now. They can't even play him at the end of close games because he's afraid to shoot and terrified of FTs. His passing up a dunk was a new low. I wouldn't be surprised if they trade him.

KD's heroics will be the talk of the Nets, putting Kyrie clearly in his shadows (which I hope will cause dysfunction), and they're out of the playoffs. Philly is ousted too (hoping there will be changes there that eventually topples that house of cards). I think Lebron is done winning championships. So that leaves us with Phoenix and Atlanta -- I want to see these two meet in the Finals.

Durant is so good. Makes me ill thinking how (reportedly) close we were to signing him in 2016. If Brooklyn can get healthy in the next year or two they're definitely winning the team.

If everyone were healthy around the league, who do you think would have won the title this year? My first thought is that the Finals would have been Lakers/Nets, with the Nets winning. You never know when a team is ready to make the jump though and PHX has looked good.

Agree it'd be Lakers/Nets - maybe Clippers/Suns could've taken it from the Lakers on the West side but no doubt the Nets would've ran through the East.
But, how bad does this make Doc look? Clippers finally make a conference final the year he leaves (even with losing Leonard) and Doc doesn't make the conference final with a team that probably should be there. I thought Rondo was rough with regards to our runs and his shooting inability, but Simmons takes it to a new level.

You never know when a team is ready to make the jump though and PHX has looked good. A healthy AD may still have had a tough time dealing with Ayton. He has been a beast this postseason. And not forgetting that CP3 had some issues in that series. Overall Pheonix is looking very complete. I reckon a Pheonix/Nets finals though who knows what the Nuggets would look like with a healthy Murray to help Jokic.

Did you see that stats about Doc being one of the worst coaches of all time when a postseason game is on the line? He might just have the worst possible luck but over and over seems to be an indication that he isn't capable of adjusting in crucial pressure moments.

Yup, said he is 24-29 in close out games.

He looked kind of stunned and at a loss at the end of Game 7 vs ATL.

Well look at the Clippers, Doc was there since 2014 and couldn't get to the WCF's, Lue takes them without Kwahi to the WCF's in the first year after Doc left while Doc was terrible in Philly.
He is the worst playoff coach in NBA history in my opinion. He has had nothing but stacked teams and has blown three 3-1 leads in series and the only time we won a title we had four hall of famers in the starting lineup and we still had to win two Game7's. We never would have seen a Game 7 if we had a better head coach.

Cheering for Jae Crowder and the Suns. Jae playing his tough, physical defense as usual.
