I’d really like to get Tyrell Terry — smart, agressive, skilled and unselfish. Should fit in nicely with the Jay Team because he’s such a good shooter spotting up or on the move. Can look for his points if need be, like driving into the paint for floaters or finishes at the rim.

I think the only thing we don't need is a swing unless it's an absolute lights out shooter.
What we could really use is some serious player development from Grant Williams, Time Lord, and R Langford. And one of the smaller guards. And Tacko Fall

And one of the smaller guards. And Tacko Fall I think the development of RWill, GWill and Romeo is paramount to our future success, and I think they will develop (all 3 of them made significant strides last season). I actually feel RWill and GWill can eventually be our starting frontcourt, if we can get a stud PG to go along with Tatum and Jaylen.

In the event that Ainge can’t pull off a trade, and we keep the 14th, 26th and 30th, we can’t add 3 first round rookies to our already crowded roster. In this case, I’d do:
14: Pokusevski 26: Maledon 30: Tillman
Poku and Maledon stay overseas, and we just bring on Xavier Tillman, who should see playing time as a rookie.

I’d take Anthony Edwards at 14, if he slides that far down (highly unlikely), but I won’t expect him to be a star.
I don’t think he’ll be an efficient shooter. He’s got everything else.

I think I want Aaron Nesmith - especially if GH is being traded. A great shooter is never a bad thing.

If Gordon and Kemba are staying put, I think drafting Xavier Tillman makes lots of sense.
Tillman would be an upgrade over Theis eventually. He’s not a big lob threat, but a high IQ defensive player who positions himself well, has a bigger body than Theis to bang with bigger bigs, and he’s a much better passer.

This is the first draft in a long time where I just don't have a super huge preference. There aren't tons of players that appeal to me where we have picks. To me this draft isn't exactly about a guy, it's more about fits and needs.
In terms of where we're drafting and needs I am looking for I'm looking for:
Top notch shooting to go up against the Heat and the rest of the league....that leads me towards Saddiq Bey
Toughness on the interior: That leads me towards Jalen Smith and possibly Vernon Carey
Unselfish playmaking ability, 3 and D, and depth/competition from the pg or combo guard spot: That leads me towards Cole Anthony, Killian Hayes, Tyrell Terry, Kira Lewis, Tyrese Maxey, and Theo Maledon. And maybe Devin Dotson.
One player I have seen a lot of that I do endorse is Lamar Stevens of Penn State. Hard worker. Very tough. Does what's needed. Not a great outside shot. A swing man and we don't need that. Made a not great team into a pretty good one. One of the best players in PSU history.

Also I am very wary of guys like RJ Hampton or the Serbian Aleksej.
When you go to New Zealand and don't have a good year, it makes me prefer I think Tre Jones. Wasn't he ACC player of the year?
When you are 7 feet tall and 190 lbs....I see that as a pretty big problem. That means he's a shooting guard. Maybe in the world of small ball he's a front court guy but I think Jaylen would absolutely eat him alive. I'm not even sure he could be good in the D League any time soon. He needs to get to 210 just to be a viable NBA player and I hear he has small shoulders and hips making it hard for him to gain weight.
The last talented but emaciated guy was Shawn Bradley. He tried to drink every protein shake in sight and couldn't gain a pound. It was awful.

Think Pokusevski is now 210 lbs. (he’s been adding weight). He’s a gifted passer, dribbles around the court well for a 7 footer, doesn’t avoid contact, has a flare to his game, likes to aggressively contest shots...... there’s a lot to like about him.
RJ Hampton played in Australia — but unlike LaMelo, he wasn’t given the green light to do whatever he wanted. He had to learn how to play off the ball, move and cut, etc. Really, the only thing holding RJ back from being a solid player (and maybe a whole lot more) is a reliable jump shot — which looks like is possile.
I’m with you about toughness. I want to draft guys who play tough.

If we draft Precious he could be the Lord of the Rings if he wins a ring here seeing as we have more than any other team
