Adding things together may indicate we may have someone special in Romeo.
Brad Stevens said he believes Romeo will have a long NBA career.
Gordon Hayward left to go to Charlotte, rather than stay here, saying he wanted a bigger role. Well, Jackie Mac said that Gordon had a very important role in BOS, as she thought (and many of us would agree) that Hayward was our best facilitator — and when healthy, was just as important to our championship aspirations as anyone else on the team.
Why would he think he wouldn’t have a big role here?
Not because of Tatum and Brown, as he was an important starter alongside them.
But think of the praise that Romeo received from Brad and some of his teammates, that even as a rookie, he was a pretty advanced facilitator, making right reads and right passes. And even his defense was solid for a rookie.
I think Hayward can see that Romeo is trending in the right direction. And if Hayward reupped with us, it would be only a matter of time before trade rumors start circulating about him if Langford emerges.
If that’s the case, Hayward would not get to choose his destiny.
So I think Romeo is the reason why Gordon left.

I think Jaylen, JT, and to a lesser extent Kemba are the reasons why he left. He still thinks he can be 'the man' on a team. And with those three here, he is at best the 3rd or 4th banana in the bunch. So he found a team that will let him be the alpha dog, and will also pay him in such a manner.
