Check out who TOR has played during their 15 game streak. VERY weak schedule. The only wins against playoff-positioned teams are over Philly at home (Sixers are a terrible road team) and home and home against Indy (who was just starting to integrate Olidipo back into the lineup. www.espn.com/nba/team/_/name/tor/toronto-raptorsI think TOR is a very good team, with the confidence of a champion, but they're not as good as their current record, IMO. I think if last year's BOS team had those same 15 games, the record would have been 9-7. However, this year's team would have been 12-4. I really like this year's team.

Now with Tatum playing like a young superstar, we just need Kemba to get back on the court playing like his All-Star self, and Robert Williams providing the dynamic play we’ve been missing.
Moving Smart back to the bench, and getting Kanter back to his midseason form will be all we need to go deep in the playoffs.

A bench...without one we won't get past the Bucks. So next year will be the target year after Danny can fill out a suitable bench to compliment our outstanding starters.

BOS has been missing a key player every game. I am not sure that changes this year. Recently, I have noticed Brad integrate Langford off the bench for the first half, then go to his proven players off the bench the second half.

Injuries do seem like they'll spoil any potential answer to this question. I'm looking for any stats on what our record is with all our starting lineup guys healthy, but I did find some interesting stats based on the # of possessions they've played together. hardwoodhoudini.com/2020/03/02/addressing-boston-celtics-injuries/"The average starting lineup has played around 644 possessions together thus far. Despite the lack of time on the floor together, this lineup ranks: 93rd percentile in effective field goal percentage 93rd percentile in transition points added per possession 91st percentile in limiting opponent three-point attempts (giving up the right shot) 89th percentile in three-point percentage (44.6%) 87th percentile in points per possession"

Right now, BOS would have to win versus PHI, then TOR, then MIL in the East, and face LAL/LAC/HOU/DEN in the Final. More or less, each round gets a lot harder.

Not an easy path. I hope at least we can have everyone healthy for the playoffs. If we do, it's not impossible. Not likely though.

The [HASH]2 seed would really be needed. We'd have a big test even in the first round if we get the Pacers or Sixers. Not to mention conceding home court to Raptors in rd. 2 if we get through. However, it might be a good experience for our guys to go through the hard way considering the Bucks will be waiting no matter how we get there and we know that'll be the toughest challenge.

Moreso than ever, I feel this team can be champion THIS year, whenever the season starts up again.
Tatum has been playing like a top 15 player, and Jaylen has got to be one of the best #4 in the league. Kemba and Hayward are truly classy star players who will allow Tatum to shine when he’s on, but step up if need be. To round off the starters, Theis has been terrific and underrated. Championship caliber starting unit.
We only need a serviceable bench, and I think we now have one. Early on it wasn’t right to count on Grant and Robert to give us quality minutes and production — but they’ve stepped up and given us confidence. Marcus Smart, Kanter and Wanamaker are proven.
Semi may have finally figured it out, and maybe Romeo is a quick study. If either can tive us a smudge of production, that’s gravy.

I think the season will get cancelled. They are saying that the players will need 4-6 weeks to get back into playing shape before the season resumes and there just isn't enough time to have another defacto training camp and then the last 30-35 games and playoffs before the start of next season. I think we won't see any basketball until the start of the 20-21 Season in October.

Maybe just hand the Bucks the trophy because they had the best record?

Personally, I think cancelling the season without a champion would be their best route. If they try to finish the season it will have to move next season to December or later and then they will either need to shorten the season or it will run into the following season and it will change every season thereafter.
They also need to fit in the lottery and draft and all the normal off season things. I just think trying to finish the season and crown a champion is going to cause a lot more problems than just writing this season off to the pandemic.

I hope the NBA can figure something out. Even an 8 - team tournament with shorter series would be better than nothing.
If we took we top four teams from each conference, would we be leaving out any team that had a legit shot at a title? Philly? Houston?
