I'm in Psalms and the Silmarion and every once in a while I read from Bill Simmon's book of basketball. I mostly read the internet. I'm also reading Angela's Ashes but that's sorta on pause

Ever read Merkel's Man's Search for Meaning? Pretty good. Frankl, I think. Yes I read it a long time ago, and remember liking it, but don't remember much else.

Any of you guys Tolkein fans? Yeah, I've read the Rings trilogy a few times - the first time, at age 13, in about 3 days. Other than The Hobbit, nothing else.

I used to read a ton of books, but the internet seems to suck up most of my reading energy these days. I did just start Michelle Obama's book Becoming.

I've been thinking lately about Tom Bombadil and Beorn because neither are in the Silmarion, which is taking me forever. A comic book store guy once said to me "You read the Lord of the Rings. You study the Silmarion." It seems basically true. It's so complicated

Tom Bombadil is my favorite character in Tolkien. Something about being absolute master of your domain, neither interested in nor affected by the Ring of Power.

Sadly, I have not read a book since college (which was late 90s). However, I do read a lot of articles, and blogs on the internet. Since I turned 43, I have been really interested in life articles.

I'm not a big reader at all but I did participate in a book group about the Holocaust from a child's point of view

I went to one book group in my life, decades ago. The book was The Culture of Narcissism - a really hard read. I slogged through it and when the group leader asked at the beginning of the meeting who had read the whole book I was the only one who raised his hand. Not much point in discussing a book with people who hadn't read it. Never went back.
