I think Porter will be the only "can't miss" player in the 2018 draft. Brooklyn will be bad, so will ORL, PHX, and probably LAL.

Haven't been blown away by Porter, and I don't see the dog in him either. Really good perimeter shooter, and a fantastic leaper. I don't see a generational talent, but many All-Star caliber players. I still think Ayton will have the better career of any of the big men.

Marvin Bagley is confirmed to be foregoing his senior year of high school, and will be playing for Duke this season.
He will be eligible for the 2018 draft, as expected.

I'm starting to warm up to Mo Bamba. I guess it was just a matter of watching the right clips of him. The ones that I watched previously displayed a guy who reminded me of Bambi. The one I saw the other day showed me a guy much more polished and in tune with his body.

The great part is, we don't even need to have the #1 overall pick to get a potentially tremendous player. Even the 5th pick could turn out to be a really good one. And I'm find with moving down and picking up additional picks again because later in the lottery are some high end players too. Keep your eyes and ears out for Kevin Knox.

I was thinking the same thing about not needing the overall [HASH]1. If the Nets are the worst team again we will almost be guaranteed a great player - even at [HASH]4. Now, if the Lakers can just stink one more year, but not quite as much as the Nets, we could really strike gold.

It will be incredible to land 2 top 5 picks in the '18 draft. We already have Jaylen and Jayson -- two young hard working and talented players who have star potential. The top players in this draft are supposed to have even greater potential than both Jaylen and Jayson!

The pick protection also helps BOS, because this appears to be a top heavy draft (5-6 players).

Here's a guy who might go the second half of the first round, if he has a solid season:
Alize Johnson, 21 yr old Senior, 6'9", 206 lbs SF
What I like about this JUCO transfer who is now playing for Missouri State is he's a PG in a SF body. As a high school freshman, he stood 5'9" and played the Point. He grew 12 inches, his body transformed, and now he's a fluid 6'9" who can rebound and go coast to coast. And being that he played guard early on, he can play the perimeter, drive to the basket, and finish.
Maybe he could be a nice bench piece for us, and challenge Abdel Nader for the 3/4 spot.

DeAndre Ayton looked good in Arizona's scrimmage. He's going to be a good rebounder (snatches the ball quickly), has some shake & bake in the post, and he's comfortable shooting the ball inside in the arc (and I think he can stretch it out to 3pt line).

He's currently ranked towards middle of the 1st, Bruce Brown from Miami is a tough combo guard who can attack the lanes and shoot it from anywhere. He's like Donovan Mitchell from last year's draft -- though a bit taller (6'5" vs. 6'2") and a tad less explosive.

Kentucky is the team I'm going to be watching a lot this year. Not because I'm a Wildcats fan, but because they have guys I'm keeping track of. I already have my sites set on Hamidou Diallo and Kevin Knox -- and now I'll be keeping tabs on PJ Washington. He's a 6'8" SF/PF who has a 7'3" wingspan. I like his aggressiveness, plays mean.
If he can slim down a bit and tone up his body, he'll be an explosive SF who can play PF.

I forget we have our own pick this year. Be interesting to see if we use it. this team is already really young. i could see us flipping it for a future 1st rounder.
