The Celtics have brought in Croatian coach of BC Oostende Dario Gjergja to work with rookie Ante Zizic during summer league, per source. Was this to help Zizic transition to America, and the NBA? Or in the bigger picture, maybe this move is also to help future european guys we will be drafting. I'm not sure what the purpose is. But Gjergja has a pretty good resume. He is familiar with Zizic and his game and will likely help his integration to the team and the NBA.

I agree! I can't wait to watch them play. Unfortunately my son is getting married on Saturday and so I'll miss the Lakers game -That is unless they have wifi at the Country Club where his wedding is.
I also am so excited to see Zizic and Tatum and Semi and Nader. I can't wait to see how Jaylen has improved.

Here's what I want to see from our young players in these summer league games:
Nader: 3 pt shooting and attacking the rim Zizic: strong box outs and rebounding Jaylen: monster dunks and scoring AT WILL Tatum: buckets in isolation and leading fast breaks Semi: rebounds and 3's Kadeem: lockdown defense and steals

Should be noted former Celts 2nd rounder Kris Joseph is on the Charlotte Hornets summer league team. I think he's 28 now.

By the way, who do these people think they are fooling? They say Jerome Allen is coaching our summer league team, but that's Tony Delk!!!
Can't fool us, Tony 😀

Tatum with the double double tonight. M Fultz arguably being outplayed by Donovan Mitchell.
Every day I realize we probably got a high pick to move down and get Tatum (and that Tatum makes less money) I'm starting to feel happier and happier about this.
I definitely think it was a selling point to Hayward.
We just added Tatum. Next year we get the Nets pick and we probably get the Lakers pick in the top 5, but if we don't we get the better of the Kings/Sixers pick the year after that. Unreal.
And sooner or later we get a pick from the Grizz at a time they're declining.
And in 2019 we probably get the Clippers pick.
And we haven't traded away any of our own.
That's unreal

BTW, Jaylen making an impact on the boards!! Small ball 4 maybe? I'm thinking Jayson Tatum could definitely take minutes at both 3/4 spot. Believe he's 6'9"? Being only 19 years old, he could go grow a couple inches. Jaylen would be good suited to get minutes between 2/3 spot as he did start some games in AB absence. .

Tatum needs to add some weight first or else he'll get bullied. Jaylen can man up against other small ball 4s. For sure, Tatum is a solid rebounder. He snatches balls out of the air.

Tatum has really impressed me with his offensive moves. He's very advanced for someone his age - far more advanced than Jaylen was, or is, for that matter. He also showed some speed vs the Spurs, dribbling the ball past everyone and taking it full court for the dunk. We're gonna love this kid, and I think he'll play more than Jaylen did last year.

That's what the scouts were talking about when they observed how polished he is.
His polish is what is giving him a heads up over Jaylen. If Jaylen wants to live up to his potential, his raw abilities need to translate into polished skills.

I'm hoping their budding friendship will result in Tatum teaching Brown some of his footwork. Jaylen needs to slow down and realize that changing speeds (and direction) is just as important, maybe more important, than raw speed.
