I'd tell NY, "look, you guys want Josh Jackson or not? You want him, you can have him -- if you'll give us Porzingis. But I'll tell you what, I'm a nice guy, so I'll give you Jae Crowder too. If that's not good for you, then say good bye to Josh Jackson cause Phoenix is going to be taking him right after us. Your choice, Phil." Yep that would be a good approach... But you need to add - "And after all Phil you are trading a player whose knees may or may not hold up. damaged goods. Keep him and see what you can get for him after his knees go out. " Yup. Can't offer a full load for a guy who may have a short career. I'm sure other teams are holding back because of this very point.

The more I think about it, the more Danny needs to step away from the Porzingis trade if they continue to ask for Jaylen and 2 lottery picks.
Danny keeps Jaylen who will be a star and drafts Jackson/Tatum and if he calls it right, he could have another star. And the Nets18 pick could also net him a star. That's way too much for a [HASH]4 pick who has iffy knees.

Draft Tatum or Jackson, bring in Hayward, and keep adding high end talent in the drafts.

Sounds like Danny drew his line in the sand, and Phil will see if he can get better offers from elsewhere.

Likely no chance to get Porzingis now. Phil Jackson and Knicks are parting ways. And Jackson's willingness to part with Porzingis may have been what led up to his leaving. He was mad because Porzingis blew off the exit meeting. It will be interesting to see what the Knicks do now.

And it was especially bad towards the end. Lucky he has all the rings to remjnd us of his legacy.

I wonder who was worse, Phil or Isiah Thomas?

Both are equally bad but it starts at the leadership level. The owner demanded instant championships. These guys are forced to make trades or sign players who are well over the hill..least Phil got lucky with Porzingis but otherwise he filled the roster with old players making way too much money. Question is...after Phil and Isiah left...which Knicks team looks worse? I'd thinking the team right now looks slightly better only because of Porzingis

They were saying that Phil screwed up this draft too. Phil drafted Ntilikina, but NY wanted Dennis Smith Jr. I think this will go down as another blunder on Phil's resume in NY.
