We are headed out on the road, playing 11 of our next 15 games away from home. This is not going to be easy, as we also have to do the dreaded Texas 3-some with San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston.
The Knicks haven't been playing well either. But they do have a couple of players who might give us trouble. Trevor Ariza is constantly on highlight reels (had a big dunk on Mourning the other day) and Nate Robinson, the 5-10" wonder kid are just two of the guys who might be the ones hurting us. Of course there's Stephon Marbury and Jamal Crawford. But when we play, we usually let the unknowns hurt us. Another guy who may hurt us is Channing Frye. I am guilty of underestimating his game. I thought he was a weak Tony Battie-type player, but so far he's been proving me wrong.
If Rivers learned anything while in the lockerroom after being tossed out of the game, he cannot keep playing Blount. He MUST go with Perkins. Let the kid foul out--just keep playing him.
I expect Pierce to continue having his big games (32 and 43 pts in the past 2 games). I'm hoping Ricky breaks out of his shooting funk. Same with Raef. Delonte had a big game vs. the Knicks on opening night, and I hope he has another big game against them today.
I won't be able to watch this game until monday, so hopefully we'll have some Greeniacs posting game updates and post game thoughts for you. FL12, you did a great job the other game. Hope we can count on you again, bro ;D

Frye has been one of the surprises on the Knicks, as well as rookies in general in the league. Good match-up w/ him vs Perks. Frye has the height, but Perks has the muscle.

allright sis, good to have you aboard! Now, let's only hope that Doc looses his infatuation with Blonut. I'm also hoping for Reed to see fewer minutes. The man is said to be one of our best defenders but ever since he's been playing 20+ minutes, i've never read a positive review about his ingame defending. Bench him! He seems selfish on the stat sheed, taking to many shots (missing most of them) & not producing much else. Give him a DNP, play Gomes for Christ sake...

Wow, I applaud you, Sis ;D You really know your Celtics stuff. Gender is not an issue. As long as you bleed green and get really excited for St. Patrick's day, we don't care if you're a male or female.
Looking forward to reading your game udates when I come back from church. Actually, if I wasn't picking up my friend on the way to church, I could leave a litle later and catch the opening minutes of the game. The game starts at 8 am, my time, which is very early. I usually catch games at about 3 pm.
So what do y'all think about our chances this game? Do we continue to own the Knicks, or do they get revenge on us?

Thanks!! I actually celebrate Boston Celtics Day on Mar 17. I make up Boston Celtics Cards online and send them out instead of St Pats. I really do live and breathe the Celtics. I even insisted on buying a green car!!
This could go either way. Knicks aren't that good and have been pretty inconsistant also but they are at home. If the fact that we haven't won a road game yet gets into the guys heads, they could all come out tight trying to prove something and blow it. Knicks want to get some revenge for the opening night loss and may do the same. With teams as inconsistant as these two there is no way to call it. The Knicks do have one thing going for them and that is Larry Brown. It is pretty certain that Doc will get out coached but we have more talent and if we take care of the ball and quit giving it away once a minute or so and play tough defense including rebounding, we should win it. If Doc plays Perk more than Blount then that is a step in the right direction. Almost game time so I am ready and waiting. It is noon here so not quite as bad as watching at 8 am.
Ricky had a really off game on Friday and he very rarely has two in a row so should play much better. West has been playing very well and I hope that continues. I keep waiting for Big Al to have his break out game but given 10 minutes a game, it isn't going to happen. Doc keeps saying that they have to EARN their playing time and I keep wondering what Veal and Blount are doing to earn their time.... He talks but doesn't put it into practice it seems.

Gonna be a long game.... i have to listen to the Knicks announcers.... I may go to the audio feed and listen to Sean and Max even though there is a 5 or so second delay.
We are off to a good start... Raef has gotten 2 rebounds, 1 offensive and 1 defensive. Perk was responible for PP getting is first rebound by tapping it out to him.. Davis is playing against Marbury which gives Ricky a 5 inch advantage. I hope we go to that match up. First time we did he drew the foul and hit his FTs, second time down he hit the open layup. Perk is active on the boards and boxing out (a concept foreign to Blount). When Raef plays with Perk, he gets more rebounds also because of Perk boxing out.

Perfect block on a bigger guy by Delonte. Called for a foul. Surprise surprise.

Perk has gotten two offensive rebounds with put backs in a row. I love this kid. I hope Doc stays with him because we play so much better with him at center. Ricky passed up an open look at the basket to pass out to Raef on the 3 point line which he missed. Raef not shooting well. Ricky also missed an outside shot.... Sure hope our shooting gets better. We are missing a lot of open shots. Perk has 2 fouls and Blount is in now and The knicks have cut it to 3 (are you surprised?)

Doc going with Greene as first PG off the bench. Delonte got a clear path foul so the Knicks got 2 FT's plus the ball.... Suddenly since Blount is in we aren't getting rebounds.... And the Knicks have taken the lead.

Doc playing Blount, Reed, Al, Pierce and OG.... Knicks have taken a 6 point lead with that lineup in....
