I have been watching the Celtics for 60 years, I saw every jersey in the rafters when it was on the floor, and I am thinking that Avery Bradley could eventually join that elite group. His game this year is DJ-like. He is the best perimeter defender in the world, leads his team rebounding, and is a reliable shooter and ball-handler. His quiet focus and leadership by example is a tremendous asset. IMO he represents everything that is great about Boston basketball - he is totally team-focused, improves every year and does whatever the team needs (like rebound, amazing). So...
Is AB an all-star this year? How can he not be?

However, Bradley is the player I am waving to Danny to say "don't trade a developing player", because Bradley is an example of a player that could develop with time.

I agree that Bradley is playing at an all star level. Every year he has been in the league he has come back a better player. That being said, a lot of times All Stars are picked on offense rather than defense. They will go for players with flashier offensive numbers rather than a complete game or being a great defender. So I don't think he will be picked for the AS team but he is definitely playing at a high level.

He's become my favorite player. Gets better every year, is an elite defender and an ever-improving offensive player. Probably won't be selected though. Offense isn't flashy enough.

So who are the guards for the East? Lowry, DeRozen, Irving and IT for sure. How many get in? I think AB is in the running, along with Wall and Kemba.

The starters are a popularity contest rather than a skill contest. But the coaches pick skill for the reserves.

I'd say the guards will be some combination of Lowry, IT, Kyrie, Derozen, Kemba and Wall. And Jimmy Butler if you want to consider him a SG. Avery is good, but he's not as good as that group of players.

All Star or not he's absolutely our best player right now.

Doesn't matter if he makes an All Star....Bruce Bowen had his number retired by the Spurs...if Bradley continues to be a lockdown defender his whole career and makes a few First Team All Defensive, then he absolutely should be considered.
