Amir has been a disappointment this year, and has been demoted to the bench. Our rebounding and interior defense hasn't been as good as we need it to be. We don't have anyone on the roster who can significantly improve us in these areas, so of course we've been looking outside of the organization.
We already know the usual suspects -- Jahlil Okafor, Nerlens Noel, DeMarcus Cousins. Well, we can add Andrew Bogut to the list.

I can see why Dallas would trade him; Bogut is an expiring contract playing on a really bad team going nowhere (even with Dirk). They're looking to get a 1st round draft pick so they can start infusing some fresh young talent.
We've got lots of 1st round draft picks, but is Bogut worth giving one up for? Well, it depends on what you think about this season. What is the purpose of this season? Is making the playoffs our highest goal? Is it making it to the 2nd round and beyond? Is it to upset the Cavs?
If we have our sites set high, then yeah, it'll be worth giving up a non-lottery 1st round pick. Bogut can anchor our interior defense and rebounding, and contribute his passing ability to our flowing offense. By going deep into the playoffs, our young guys can gain valuable experience playing in the high pressure atmosphere of the playoffs. This can give them confidence heading into next season. For this reason I think it'll be worth giving up a mid to late 1st rounder.
