Give credit to Bradley and Olynyk and Jerebko and Smart and even Rozier. But we're missing another big scoring threat.
Isaiah is one, and Horford is a capable one. But when we need buckets down the stretch, I'm not bursting with confidence with the ball in Smart 's hands, or if we're asking for Bradley to score.

Agreed; basically what we discussed on the "IT must go" thread -- he is the only one who can create his own shots. The other players will have their occasional 20 pt game, but we need someone like IT who can be a go to scorer on a nightly basis.

Basically, we need a scoring threat on the opposite side of the Isaiah on the floor.
I'm beginning to wonder if trading for Klay will be huge for us? In our pace and space game, he's bound to see lots of open jumpers.

I'm thinking that the Thompson trade talks were just a bunch of rumors with no basis. I just don't see the Warriors moving him. I mean he scored 60 points in 29 minutes the other night. They'd be really crazy to trade him. They really don't have any glaring needs that they have to fill so why trade him?

Yeah, I think it was already declared to be a non-rumor. But maybe it could be something the Warriors will have to entertain down the road, because how can they afford Steph, Durant, Draymond and Klay, all who will get max money?
You might even say that they have a surplus of scoring and shooters.
If Bradley was to replace Klay, they'd still have a nice shooter on the team, but also one of the best onball defenders in the game. I'd think that will look appealing if the Warriors think they'll be meeting the Cavs (and Kyrie Irving) in the Finals again.
But more than anything, I'm just thinking about how we can add another lethal scoring threat opposite of Isaiah.

Agreed. I don't think it's a good thing when you're best attacker and scorer is so short and you really have no other option to create on their own. I always loved Allen Iverson and his tenacity to drive/score and I enjoy Thomas' game, but it's not hard to figure how what he's going to do in a playoff series when the game slows down and you need a bucket in the final minutes. He needs help when the games/stakes get bigger so teams can't just gameplan to stop him.

They can wrap up Durant and Curry and still be able to survive, though they won't be able to pay anyone else. theyre gonna have to rely on rookies and ring chasing vets like Zaza, Verajeo and David West.

And considering how teams tighten up their defense in the playoffs, they'll pinch Isaiah and force him to pass it out. Life will be easier for everyone with another big scorer.

Eventually, they'll have to make a decision between Klay and Draymond (unless it's possible for a team to carry 4 max players). And as stated already, the Warriors are well stacked with scorers and shooters, meaning they'd probably hold onto Draymond.

Thanks to how much the cap has risen, contracts signed only two years ago like Klay's are a steal now. Klay signed for 4 years, 70 million. By contrast, Steven Adams just signed the same max contract for 4 years 100 mill. The savings is huge. The Warriors have Klay and Green locked up at very good prices for the next 3 season (possibly 4 with Green). Even with Durant and Curry making gonzo money they can make it work.
