For whatever reason -- blame it on injuries, or adjusting to life with Horford and without Evan Turner -- but we just aren't meshing and winning like we were last season.
We're almost at the 20 game mark of the season, nearly completing a 1/4 of the year. Still lots of time to turn it around, so I'm not panicking yet.
I have optimism that something is going to click with this group of guys, and we'll go on a huge winning streak.

I agree Derren! I think the pieces are there but they haven't all been together for that many games. It wasn't until they got the rotation set and they all had set roles last season that they played the best.
With so many injuries, it's only been a few games that they've all been together and then, players were trying to get back their rhythm and conditioning. Jay, I know is just now getting back to normal. Isaiah has been playing with that sprained finger on his shooting hand Marcus bruised his ankle and has been playing that off. Kelly is just now getting back into form after coming back from the shoulder surgery.
I think they are going to turn it around.

Definitely too early to write this team off. Maybe time for a small tweak or two though. Maybe put Kelly in the starting lineup to improve ball movement and spread the floor a little more?

Kelly is fine when he is hitting his shots. But like Zeller, both do not come up with enough rebounds, blocked shots and hustle plays.
And when Olynyk is not hitting shots, he easily becomes a scapegoat.
If Ainge and management really want to go far this season, and I mean if our aim is to leapfrog TOR and compete with CLE for the EC title, I think we will need to make a big trade.
Gerald doesn't look like the big scorer off the bench we're looking for.
Our rebounding is a sore spot.
Teams are scoring against us in the paint.
Our team, as currently constructed, can still win 50+ games. But might fall short of being better than TOR.

I agree that a trade is looking necessary for us to compete for the EC title. And if things don't come together in Dec, it may be soon. So far, a lot of us have given this team a pass because of injuries, but if they don't start competing better it's going to be time for some kind of change.
