7-23 from 2 pts. 2-10 from 3.. His opponent scored the same amount of points shooting better. And had 17 assists..
We gave up way to many points. 37 and 42 in the third and fourth quarter..
I did not check Isaiahs plus minus.. bet it is in double digits..
This team cannot go anywhere in the playoffs with him at the p.g.

I was wrong.. he was +3.. This needs to be fixed.. Miami shot 48% from 2 pt. Wow! If they had made their foul shots they might have won..

Miami was shooting 43 % from field. lowest in league. Yet last night they shot 48%.. Defense wins championships.. We don't need the mini me version of Antone Walker.. We need excellence. Anyone can score if they shoot enough..
Dragic gets 17 assists and you say it's OK .. And I need to calm down?

1) We won easily, on the road, without one of our best players.
2) Everyone has bad shooting games. I can remember Bird having bad shooting weeks. No one is exempt.
3) You can only tell so much from reading box scores.

One bad game? I suggest you go back and look at least the last three games and see what he has shot.. Ironically enough it corresponds with his calling out coach for taking him out of the game..

The Celtics had a double digit lead through virtually the entire second half, and I don't think it ever went below 7. That is winning easily.

Nah, it wasn't a hard game. Part of the reason it was closer than it was because we let our guard down. We consistently had a 10 - 15 pt lead. We coasted towards the end, and it almost came to nip us in the butt.
Isaiah takes a lot of difficult shots -- sometimes out of necessity, when we are desperate for points. Other times, he takes shots when he's feeling it, no matter the time on the shot clock. But he's a scorer. And we need scoring. So why are we trying to get rid of one of the better scorers in the league?

They scored 40 pts in the third, I guess you could say we dominated the first half..
9th in the league in scoring.. Rondo was first in assists...You could see him crying to the scorers because he wasnt getting his double double.. When I saw Thomas calling out his teammates, and saw the game he played it smells the same..
He takes those shots. ya.. so did antone. Hucking up threes on a team that doesn't rebound is not smart basketball..
So where is the ball movement?
He is a defensive liability.. Dragic had 25 points and 17 assists..
So in summary.. He is a inefficient scorer who sucks as a defender.. He also is not running the ball movement..He is part of the problem and not the solution.. Trade him and get something now.. He hurts more than he helps..

We lose just about any close game without IT - he is one of the premier 4th quarter scorers in the league and he gets to the free throw lines at an impressive rate. If he were gone we would have no one to pick up the late game scoring or get to the free throw line the way he does. He is a closer; no one else on this team is. I don't care if it isn't always pretty - it usually works well for us.
For example in last night's game in the last 3:58 IT made 7 out of 7 free throws and a driving layup. That is something we would not have seen from Rondo late in games (or frankly from most players on our current roster).
Lose IT and we are very lacking in players who can create their own scoring opportunities. Even teams with great ball movement (GS, Clev, SA) need that element at times to close out games (Curry, James, Parker/Ginobili). Guys who can attack and make things happen when your initial play is taken away by the defense.

Excellent point, Mev.
The extraordinary ball movement we had early in the season is still missing. On e we get it back, IT (and others) should get more open looks, which of course should help with shooting percentages.

I agree Great point Mev. I still think something is going to click with this team. We've seen flashes of it. Yes we are missing the ball movement on a consistent basis We are also missing that toughness that they had last season. But I think it's there and they just have to put it together.

we need a real center nothing crazy someone who can rebound push people around But if he could push people around AND was crazy, that would be even scarier for the opposition! :-)
