He's a kid. He's gonna be a rollercoaster all season, and I've got a hunch there will still be a lot of growing pains with him next season. But the talent is through the roof. If he can ever figure it out he's gonna be a beast.

Being asked to work on something in his game and he hasn't quite gotten it? or .....

Just remember it took Avery Bradley a few years to round off his game - now he is having a strong year on both ends of the floor. I think Jaylen is probably being asked to work on a few things.

Bradley, and Brown are two different animals. Bradley was a project, and so is Brown, however Brown has alot more upside than Bradley.

Might not necessarily be Brown, but guys like Jerebko and Olynyk who are keeping Brown's minutes down.
Plus, Smart playing the 3 also cuts into Jaylen's minutes.
There will never, ever, ever be another Larry Bird

Darren how does he look on the court?
I agree that Marcus might be taking his minutes.
Any idea if he might be part of a trade? Not playing so he doesn't get hurt?

DM nailed it. Other players are getting the backup SF minutes, specifically Marcus Smart. IMO the only reason he was part of the main rotation early on was because of injuries. when this team is at full strength he's gonna be on the outside looking in this season.

Not really. He came out of the gate looking like a rookie of the year.. Then something happened.. He goes 0-5.. And has a negative plus minus.. Something is up.

They may be purposely not pushing him and letting him develop a bit slower. He's young and he shows flashes of what he can do but then his inexperience shows up as well. The game moves very fast for a lot of young players and it takes them a bit to catch up. When he is ready, he'll get the minutes and he'll be a difference maker. I think CBS puts him in and if he thrives, he gives him more minutes.
