Unless, or until DeMarcus Cousins goes to another team (via trade, free agency), he will always remain in trade rumor conversations -- because he's a star player who isn't happy, and because the organization he plays for isn't run so well.
So we hear once again, that Cousins might be on the chopping block. Some Western conference GM's think he might be gone before the end of this calendar year.
So, I wonder if we are interested, and I wonder what the cost will be.

The talent is definitely there, but he brings a great deal of concern as well. Ainge and Brad have built a darn good culture here, and it would be a crying shame to have one player come in and destroy it.
IT thinks he can control him, and fans are hopeful a strong lockerroom can keep him in check. Getting a big time talent is critical, but we better be sure we know what we're stepping into if we are indeed interested in trading for him.

He certainly addresses a need. The Nets' picks, or at least the 2017 one, may not be all that great, so there's no guarantee we can get a star through the draft. I'd say it's worth serious exploration.

Cousins only seems to have issues when he's stuck on dysfunctional teams. He's a saint during the US olympic season. Get him in a solid franchise and i doubt he causes any locker room troubles.
And I love Noel, but Cousins is on another level. That dude could win an MVP on the right team.

Yeah, and as the saying goes, "love covers over a multitude of sin". It's the same way with winning -- winning covers over a multitude of character issues.
We can learn to deal with, or bear guys who are obnoxious, as long as we're winning.
