If you had to get rid of Jae Crowder, and replace him with Klay Thompson, would that be appealing to you?
According to what I read on Celticsblog, they said Scal (yes, our very own Scalabrine) said that the Warriors might trade Klay, and it'll be a 3-way trade involving the 76ers giving Nerlens Noel, with him and Jae going to GS, draft picks going to Philly, and Klay coming to Beantown.
What do you guys think?

Might all be moot, anyways. Depends on where Scal got his info from.
I'm not in favor, nor not in favor of the trade idea. Just something to chew on.

But I'm curious why the source Scal heard, or read, this rumor from names us as Klay's destination? I mean, it's one thing to say a certain star player is possibly being shopped. It's interesting when a particular team is specified.

Personally I think most of these rumors are just somebody somewhere saying... "You know, Klay Thompson is what the Celtics need." And from there somebody else says I heard that the Warriors are looking to trade Klay Thompson and the Celtics are interested. I really think that most of these things start with someone just looking to start a rumor and they take on a life of their own after that with everyone else picking up on it. I don't see GSW trading Thompson.

The one I saw was us giving up Bradley, Crowder, and this years Brooklyn pick for Klay and nothing else between the two teams without the 76ers. That is too much for a guy who can't get his own shot off. He is very streaky and can have a quarter good enough to win a game by himself when he gets hot. I can see why Brad would like him since he is a good defender and he would be the best scorer on our team, but not worth that price.
He's a great [HASH]2 guy that doesn't fit in GS anymore and if we made that trade GSW would be a ton better than they are now. In that scenario they would only need a average big who can block shots and rebound from being unbeatable if healthy.

Klay makes more sense than a 5 ft 8 point guard..
