We shot 50 percent and Chicago shot 38.. We lose by 5.. lol
Elite defense s rebound.. We were out rebounded by a mediocre Frontline.. 55 _39..
Why do we need Sully? Jerkebo and Zeller were outclassed by mirkisin ??

For sure we need to secure rebounds better, keep oppositions off the offensive glass. Playing Smart and Rozier more will help, as they are good rebounding guards.
But yeah, won't hide that I wish Amir would own the glass more.

Well Sully is out for the season at Toronto so we don't really need Sully. But I do wish we had Zizic around at the very least for rebounding purposes. I honestly think he is the missing piece.

The one guy we shouldn't be looking to trade for is Nerlens Noel. Good rebounder and defender but his knees are a big worry. Out the entire first season and then another knee surgery this year. Can't trust him to stay on court.

I don't think we had any serious interest in Noel. If we did, I think we would've made a trade with Philly over the summer.

I'm wondering if Mickey, if given more playing time might help with the rebounding. I agree that Smart will help. But our bigs need to be more aggressive on the boards and at least box out a little more.

A few things about last night...
We lost the game in the first 5 minutes. Two BAD turnovers from IT, a rushed 3, we are down 10 and nobody has rhythm. We never recovered. I said it last year - if IT doesn't learn how to start the game he should come off the bench. Our first 5 possessions have to go through Al. IT never gets going until Q2.
I am worried that Amir has already hurt something. He only played 16 minutes and Zeller can't/doesn't rebound. When Amir is healthy he is a solid rebounder who also blocks out and tips a lot of balls. Missing KO and Smart hurts. I would have loved to give Mickey some of those minutes.
Rozier still has a lot to learn at both ends. He stops the ball and gambles too much on D. Hopefully this will change.

Yeah, it looked like Amir pulled up wincing at one point. Look like a toe or foot injury.
Rozier's shot is looking really nice. He needs to be more decisive with the ball, and if there isn't anything there, pass it up. It stays in his hands a bit too long.

Last night's game (CHI), rebounding was a troubling sign.

Al is a good player.. He's not a stud rebounder..
I hated Dwight Thomas.. But he had 18 rebounds in one game..
We have to get this right. No way is this a 50 win team playing Like that..

Horford is more efficient, than Sully and Turner, but can not rebound.

Al has averaged 7.5 rebounds a game. A decent number.
So the problem is Amir. The solution I'd like to see . I have screamed we need help at the 5..😆
The guards cannot continue to out rebound the forwards

At the end of last season we saw Amir play very well. Then we learned that he had been playing much of the year with plantar fasciitis. This is something that once a player is prone to it usually shows up again at some time. Some players, including Tommy Heinsohn, retired because of recurring bouts with plantar fasciitis. I wonder if maybe Amir's dealing with that once again.
I'd also like to see Mickey get an opportunity. I think with more playing time he'd improve quickly. He's got great instincts and just needs playing time to polish them.
