If I'm the owner of the Nets, I would trade Brook Lopez away for draft picks and young players.
At 28 yrs old, he's in his prime. But though he's a solid player, he's not a franchise All-Star. And the team will not likely be competing for championships during his time there.
They ought to cut their ties now and hope for a brighter tomorrow.
And of course, this should make Celtics fans happy because without Lopez, they'll be in worse shape than they are already (and we all know what that means -- more ping pong balls for us!!).
