I guess big point guards and small lineups are the new ways the game is played. Draymond Green is another big PG. Hmmm... maybe even 6'6" PG will be undersized in the future. Well, Kelly played point guard all through highschool. Maybe Brad should experiment with him at the point and that would one up everyone LOL That would work, but only if he's allowed 10 fouls per game. He's going to be called for charging everytime he tries to dribble with small PGs guarding him.

That's why Philly is Philly.. I remember something Bob knight said once when he was getting beat pretty bad.. He looked on their bench and saw.. And smiled.. I looked on Cincinnati's bench and saw Marvin lewis when the game was in doubt.. And smiled...
Philly scares me with all this talent.. Have not seen embid play or Simmons but.....

Embiid is legit, barring injuries. His game is for real.
Simmons is incredible too -- but right now, he's too tentative about taking over offensively. But his passing is on an elite level.
At some point, they have to decide what to do with Noel and Okafor, and even Saric.
They can't possibly pay all these guys the money they'll be asking for.

problem with sixers is they can't shoot in the apex of the 3 point shot

I voted 'yes.' Reason - too many cap friendly based contracts. IT is a max contract. Bradley, or Smart might command a max contract, because of their defense. Something has to give, because management does not want to go over the cap threshold for a team that can not win now.

Remember back in the summer of '07, Ainge traded away a bunch of up and coming young kids for Ray Allen, and more up and coming young kids for Garnett.
You think Ainge is ready to do something big again with some of the young kids we're quickly developing?
Jackie M. said many people around the league have high marks on Terry Rozier (and thankfully Ainge likes him so I doubt he gets traded; like how Ainge likes Avery Bradley and hasn't traded him yet).

Here's another angle. I'm friends with Brett Brown's father, and he says the Sixers intent is to play Ben Simmons at PG. Would the Celtics be able to match up with the Sixers if IT is our PG? Would the size difference be too much? Could IT take advantage of Simmons at the other end? Could IT run the point, but someone else take Simmons on D, and if so, who would IT guard? Lots to consider. But there's also plenty of time to let it all sort out. Not to be lost in this thread is this nugget. You are friends with Brett Brown's father? That's not something any joe on the street can claim. I wonder how good of a coach Brown really is, and will turn out to be? If he is a good one, then I'm worried that the 76ers will be a team to be reckoned with (they have loads of young, untapped talent). I'm consoled by the fact we have Brad Stevens, who has proven at both levels that he can take teams without stars, and with mostly hard nosed players, and achieve success. If Brown can get the most out of his players, we could be in trouble.

The Magic look like they may be pretty good this year. Biyombo, Fornier, Green, Gorden Hezonja, Ibaka, Augustin, Vucevic and more. An interesting mix.
