I've sort of become like FL; I want to win a championship with the players we have right now, and don't want to see any of them traded away.
Especially the core. I've grown to view them as my own family:
Jae Smart AB Isaiah Horford Rozier Jaylen
If this is the core guys (sorry Amir, sorry Jonas and Olynyk, and Zeller), do you see Ainge trading any one of them in the next 2 years, in order to bring in a bigger fish?

After trading Perk and then Pierce and Garnett, I don't put anything past Danny. I really would love to see these guys stick and win a title together. They are really close. Especially if Zizic comes over next season and they can sign another scorer (or if one of these guys develops into one).

You gotta vote, FL

I think a lot will depend on what the Nets' pick brings. If it's a really high pick, a guy who has the potential to be a true "franchise player", we'll have to make room for him somehow. Danny is cold-blooded (like Belichick) and will do whatever he has to to improve the team - and I support him in that. I liked Al Jefferson from the moment I saw him make his first jump hook, but I was ok with losing him if it meant getting KG. I'm voting a provisional yes in the poll, because I want to believe the Nets' pick will bring something really good - although Scal says they're going to be better than people think.

I voted no, but that may just be wishful thinking

I can see IT being that core guy traded because he is going to command lots of money when his contrsct is up.
But I think the heart and soul of this team are Jae and Smart.

I don't think smart is that important yet. But defense and hustle is the foundational philosophy it's built on.. I agree to some extent that our draft might have a lot to say in who gets moved. Danny is a gambler.. Trader Danny so him trading jae because Jalen is developing so well or Avery because rozier is progressing.. Salary's do play a huge factor in determining who can stay. I don't want those guys to go.. Especially Jae ..What I want them to get would be a demarcus with no problems. Or a true 2 way point .. I think you have to draft a scorer.. People just don't trade them..

Yeah, I can see Danny trading Isaiah if he asks for more than Danny wants to pay him. I just would love to see this group stay together to win a title. They have a lot of heart and have great chemistry.

Here's another angle. I'm friends with Brett Brown's father, and he says the Sixers intent is to play Ben Simmons at PG. Would the Celtics be able to match up with the Sixers if IT is our PG? Would the size difference be too much? Could IT take advantage of Simmons at the other end? Could IT run the point, but someone else take Simmons on D, and if so, who would IT guard? Lots to consider. But there's also plenty of time to let it all sort out.

Milwaukee is also planning to play Giannis Antetokounpo at the point as well. I wonder if we could try Kelly at the point to counter

I guess big point guards and small lineups are the new ways the game is played.
Draymond Green is another big PG.
Hmmm... maybe even 6'6" PG will be undersized in the future.

I think so. It's pretty rare for a developing club to keep a group of seven players for 2 years without at least one of them getting traded.

Well, Kelly played point guard all through highschool. Maybe Brad should experiment with him at the point and that would one up everyone LOL
