While I do agree that getting a productive big man is of higher value than a wing player, I would be a solid move to grab Gerald Wallace, if at all possible. We are struggling to get any kind of productive play from out wing players outside of Pierce and Ricky. Reed and Gomes' minutes fluctuate depending on how they are playing. Tony Allen is a guy to watch, but he has a way to go before catching up to Wallace's level.
This year, he's averaging 18.5 ppg, 7.4 rpg, and a league leading 2.6 spg, to go along with his impressive 58% shooting and 1.8 bpg. Bump those numbers up a bit in the past 5 games, 22.3 ppg, 9.3 rpg, and 2.3 spg.
I like Tony Allen a lot, but even I question if he can replicate those numbers.
As for swapping Blount for Olowakandi, I'm all for anyone who gives more effort than Blount on the boards, even if he may not produce better numbers than Blount.
