Let me be the first to say it, no more waffling, no excuses - we have a realistic chance to win [HASH]18 this season and I am going ALL IN. Injuries are my biggest worry. If we can stay healthy I believe we can beat anybody in a 7-game series.
I expect our defense to set a new standard for the modern era because DA and Brad have built it to switch everything - the whole league is going there but we are a couple of steps ahead, and we have at least 3 of the top 10 individual defenders in the league, maybe 4 or even 5. Horford, Brown and a healthy Amir will flesh out what was already a top-5 defense.
On offense, the key for me is to have 6 or 7 guys averaging 10+ ppg, and I think we have the players to do it.
Hope is a rare commodity in the age of Trump, but this is what sports is about and we are lucky to get some. [HASH]18 is a realistic goal this season and I am all in. Who's with me?

I'd love to be there with you, but I can't honestly say I am. I'll need to see some guys really step up their games, and/or Brown to come along extraordinarily fast, for me to say "I believe". For me EC Finals is realistic and anything more would be gravy. But I hope you're right.

"Faith" is a better word than "belief" My faith is based on my opinion that there are many possible paths available, something will pan out. Smart, KO, Brown, Jae, Mickey, Green - any of these guys can step up and have a big impact. Some of them will, some won't, but I think Brad will figure it out. This team will be a winner.

Our starting 5 on defense maybe.. i have serious reservations on our bench defense.. (forwards).. I am all in. I think they can win the east.. Dream team may be unbeatable..

I am not buying this dream team crap. They are a jump-shooting team, they have nothing inside, and there is only one ball. Defensively they need Iggy on the floor which puts KD at the 4 and Bogut on the bench. I don't think they will be as good as last year. Our D can handle them.

I really like this year's team. Taking the next step, like winning a playoff series or two, would be ideal. Crunch time scoring will still be an issue.

I'm all in every single season. I see the Celtics through green colored glasses, always have and always will. To give you an idea, I really liked the 2006-07 team that lost 18 in a row and expected great things from them. I always thought they could turn it around. Yep, that bad. I'm a hopeless Celtics homer. You never know what can happen in a season. Celtics stay healthy... others have injuries... you just never know. I expect a championship this year and every year. And I don't care if people think I'm delusional or whatever. That's just me.

Yabbut this year is the first since the big trade where we have a realistic shot. Last season even my green glasses couldn't show me a championship.

If we are clicking on all cylinders, and I mean down to the 12th man everyone is playing above their norm, and it's all meshing together in harmony on the court, then yes, I do believe we have a shot, not only to beat Cleveland, but also beat out the Warriors in the Finals.

I think the team is definitely going to be improved, but I'd be shocked if we won it all. I'm guessing low/mid 50s in wins with a possible trip to the ECF. But I don't see us getting past teams like Cleveland, San Antonio or Golden State,

We beat a good defensive team twice now in the preseason (Charlotte). And we were able to go on huge runs that wiped them out of the game. And we did it with the starting unit and the second unit as well.
Preseason doesn't mean anything, really. But what it's showing is we are playing as a cohesive unit, on both ends. It's really fun watching our team function as one.

I think we have a good defense but haven't really faced much offensive firepower. We can slow down a good offense but can we match or best them?
