CelticsBlog’s own FLCeltsFan has published Daily Links for years, but on July 19 she couldn’t find any Celtics-related stories and wrote this: “We are in the slow season. There wasn't a single Celtics article in any of the Boston media. In tracking down the links, I find a lot of stories from just about every other team going after certain players but nothing like that is coming out about the Celtics. Either we have very tight-lipped people in our organization or nothing is going on.”

FLCeltsFan had the right idea. The Celtics and Wolves were tight lipped. This is when negotiations entered an elevated stage. Anything relevant wasn’t being reported.

You guys are too much! It is true that when a trade is actually being discussed Danny tries to keep a lid on it. I know that when we made the trade for Wally Sczcerbiak Danny was on WEEI and said that nothing was happening and that they weren't in any discussions. About 15 or 30 minutes later it was announced that the trade was made.

All the noise out there about trading for Griffin or Westbrook is just rumors probably started by a bored blogger. I've given up on rumors. If a trade happens then I'll believe it. Till then it's all just noise.

Well, just like what happened 11 years ago, after hearing much chatter the past couple of weeks, whether true or not, it is dead quiet now on the Celtics front.

Either this means that Ainge exhausted all trade routes and found nothing suitable to do, or things are finalized and just waiting on the timing of things.
