Griffin wasn't the same since his latest knee injury. He had bone marrow injection after the season. I don't know if that's going to be an ongoing problem but Danny better be very sure that it won't before giving up a lot of assets and players for him. I'd personally rather keep Jae and see what happens next year in free agency. I agree. Griffin sells tickets and t-shirts but how much can he produce ? Blake Griffin has been producing his entire career. Averaged 24 ppg a couple of years ago, and is a career 21 ppg. Was a 12 rebounds/game guy early in his career (before DeAndre Jordan emerged to be the shot blocking/rebounding machine he is now). The thing with Griffin is he is not a superstar, a guy who can transform a team. He's best suited as the #2 or #3 guy.

I want to candidly ask Brad Stevens and Danny Ainge what they honestly think about Jaylen and Rozier's potential. Do they feel that Brown and Rozier can eventually replace and outperform Crowder and Bradley?
I ask because maybe this could justify, in their minds, moving AB and Crowder in trades to bring back bigger fish.
Jaylen and Terry have defensive potential, but have far greater potential on the offensive end. They have the possibility of impacting games in more ways. BUT, they are not at that level yet, and they may never reach this level.
I wonder how Brad and Danny feel?

We don't have chris Paul getting him alley oops. There are very serious medical concerns. And he is at the stage of his career that production goes down and he loses a step or two

I believe he's still capable of really good, star caliber production, even without CP3 (he didn't have Paul early in his career).
Yes, the medical concerns are definitely important to iron out. If we are trading for him, he better not have injuries derail his tenure in Boston. That will go down as a huge blunder if it happens.

He's 27, the prime of any athlete's life. Far from being on the downslope. If he isn't healed the deal won't go through. Simple.

Ok, maybe this is a trade package that is being offered to LAC. Would you sign off on it?
Amir Johnson, Marcus Smart, future "non" Brooklyn 1st round pick for Blake Griffin.

I'd probably do it, because Amir is in the last year of his contract, I'm not a Smart fan, and the non-Brooklyn pick probably won't be that good. The rule of thumb in the NBA is "whoever gets the best player in the trade, wins the trade". Griffin is the best player in this trade.

I'm in on that but can we get Jordan ?

Unfortunately, Oldtimeball, we'd have to throw in Brad Stevens and 1st round draft picks for the next decade to pry DeAndre Jordan from LA.
