I think it's smart to trade Isaiah Thomas. Dear God I hope we don't trade for Love. He is a better Kelly olynik. We need a veteran point guard. Put ithomas on the bench as a scorer.
Don't make a move for the sake of making one.
Don't make the same mistake in placing to much faith in the rookies as we did in landing kd.
Find some more Jae Crowder's ..
Be aggressive. Target our needs. Not put a whole bunch of talented one sided players together and hope to hide their weaknesses. The playoffs expose them.. Boston needs to get back to learning to win in the last few minutes.

This is why we are in such a unique situation, moreso than any other team in the league.
We are in position to compete in the playoffs, while also in position to draft top level talent with Brooklyn's picks. No playoff team is adding high lottery talent year after year!!
And all the while, our young ones are developing and contributing. Bradley and Smart are already rotation guys, and Terry Rozer, and possibly Jordan Mickey are set to be worked into the rotation too.

the thing i like about IT in this system is that he plays off the ball well and doesn't need to be the primary ball handler. he has range and he can slash to create his own shots which makes him particularly useful if you actually had a superstar drawing defenses away. But then again, IT's value right now is pretty high so any return would be good.

Though no one is untouchable, and he can be a defensive liability, I find it hard to imagine IT being traded away. In a way, he epitomizes the tough, never say die, go out and prove to everyone the size of the heart matters most attitude that we've come to expect out of this team.
Him and Crowder are like the heart and soul of the team. Plus, he attracts players to us.
I mean, I'm sure for the right price, everyone is expendable. But I don't think I'd trade IT for Love.

Have no desire for love so I agree ..I would only trade Isaiah if there was a huge return.
It's OK to have one or two defensive liabilities on the team. We have 5-7..
We must implement a playoff style defense and offense.. No more tricks and mirrors..

I agree that Isaiah and Jae are the heart and soul of the team. They both have been out there this summer trying to recruit players for the Celtics. Isaiah is a sparkplug and Jae can defend 1-5 and is the perfect 4 in small ball. They both need to stay Celtics.
