So far, they're only going after, and signing their own free agents.
They're basically bringing back the same team, which is a year older.
They re-signed Austin Rivers, who is really a so so player, and brought back Wesley Johnson, who has yet to breakout as a player of his draft status.
They brought back Jamal Crawford, but needed to pay him $14 mil a year to do so.
They just can't seem to get over the hump to become legit title contenders.

They are what they are, a team who may win a first round series, but then will get trunk monkeyed when the play a real team. Which is why I have always said that CP3 was one of the most overrated players in modern NBA history.
All I think of when it comes to the Clippers is that I want Paul to sign a one day contract with the C's so he can retire a Celtic.

I really don't like the Clippers. I've never liked Blake Griffin and I don't like Chris Paul. I'm still miffed at Doc for bolting on the Celtics when the chips were down. Although that worked out pretty good for us in the long run. I still love Paul Pierce, of course but the rest of the team ...eh!
They sure don't seem to be improving in spite of the presentation to Durant that blew him away, they were the first team eliiminated from his process. I think Doc's nepotism in trying to make his son a star, which he isn't, has hurt the team also.

Clippers look good last year before both CP3 and Blake went down during the playoffs. I think they have talent but they have a terrible GM..aka Doc. He needs to stick to coaching and not be making personnel decisions because right now he hasn't helped the team grow. He inherited established stars but hasnt added much since then. Theres a reason the best coach in the NBA right now, Pops, stuck to just coaching and left GM decisions to Buford.

I think that was part of the reason why he left Boston, because he wanted to be in charge with the player personnel and the drafting, trading and free agency. If you look at all the players he's brought in since becoming GM of the Clips, many of them are the players we were rumored to be interested, or brought in, while Doc was at Boston. Lance Stephenson, Josh Smith, Jeff Green, Austin Rivers, Dahntay Jones, Nate Robinson, Ryan Hollins. I think Doc and Ainge clashed quite a bit more than we know. I think Danny wanted a certain type of player, and Doc wanted a different type of player. I think Danny tried to draft for Doc, and that's why he failed on a number of picks. But I think Danny and Brad are more on the same page in terms of players they like.

In fact I think Brad makes any sort of player work. Doc had to have a specific type but Brad has made many types of players work for him by either playing to their strengths or convincing them to buy into his system. Doc is just throwing away Clippers draft picks left, right and center...he just traded a 1st round pick for Jeff Green only to not resign him.

Pray the Clips will fall apart soon. We have their 2019 first round draft pick. Maybe it'll turn out to be a great pick!
