I presumed Horford will play the 4, but maybe I'm jumping the gun.
In ATL, he played the 5 while Milsap played the 4. Did Al ever say he did not like being put at the 5?
If he does play Center, that opens up the floor for us to use Crowder at the 4 if we sign Durant.

He's a team player and will play whatever he is asked to play. I haven't heard anything about him not liking playing the 5, I have friends who are Hawk fans who would have loved to have a true center so he could move to his natural 4 position. But that is all I have heard, nothing from him.

I think it will depend on who else the Celtics sign and who else they have playing. Kelly can play the 5. Maybe they will trade for Cousins or something and then we have a center next to Al. I agree with afceltic. He will play whichever position they need him in. He's a team player. We know he can play the 5 because he played it quite well in Atlanta.

The Kings had a bizarre draft in which they selected two more centers. Maybe Cousins IS available for the right price.

Love Cousins' game. Hate his attitude. Will it ever change? Who knows. But if I were to give up a war stash of picks & players, I'd rather it be for the likes of Davis or Towns. Head cases are not worth having..especially since Cousins' isn't as dominant as prime Shaq. You could handle Shaq's primadonna attitude because he was unstoppable whereas Cousins just isn't as dominant.

You have to factor in the fact that Cousins has played his whole career in a very dysfunctional franchise. He hasn't had any real leadership. Rondo said that he'd never seen such a messed up team. Maybe playing in a stable and functional group with a strong coach would work wonders for him. You never know.

Stevens says he doesn't think about C and PF differently. They're both "Bigs". So in that sense, it doesn't matter what you call Horford.
