At least he speaks my language from time to time. Hes harsher than me and all but I feel many of the same beliefs. As time is growing on, I am feeling more worried about this teams future in terms of growing in this already solid eastern conference. Boston will remain mediocre the way things are going. I cannot see things changing. I can possibly see Dannys plan failing. He has to get Doc out and Blount out and then go from there and work his way up to trading whoever else needs to go next. But it starts with Doc and Blount first. Jefferson will end up leaving when his contract is up IF he does not get good minutes. I expect Perkins to leave as well out of being upset. If they want to compete with the rest of the conference, hyping and hoping for the Orien Greenes and Justin Reeds of the league is so frikken pointless. You miss the boat when you do that. You get disappointed and I no longer as a celtics fan want to feel that feeling. I want to hope for good but also expect the very worst as well. I see no negativity involving anyone at all. Not even regarding our best prospects. If theres any negativity, its only about Blount and Doc. Try others. And Banks has to stay on our team or else we're going nowhere. A sparkplug defender in him is hard to find. Yet you like Orien better? I can't understand it. There is still a chance Dannys plan can fail. I am NEVER ruling that possibility out. Our team is just cursed. Lets face it. The east is growing while the atlantic and the c's are still mediocre. Owning a weak division is !!!GREENIAC!!!. You have to own them all by beating all the other division leaders. This team is far from doing that its so not funny. There, you heard the real truth from me.

I forgot to add that beating Toronto just does not cut it at all. This team has to win against real competition.

Remember the C's beat the Grizz and the Rockets.
Did we look good tonight?? not really .
Did we win?? yes
Did we look good against the Pistons at the Garden?? The answer is "Yes", but we lost.
This is a young team, but if you don't think we have a bright future, I don't get it.
Gerald Green WILL be a impact player in TWO years. Don't ask me how I know, I only watched McDonalds All star game and 3 summer league games. BUt this kid has the goods.
If Tony can stay out of jail, rolls eyes, he is a mini Ron Artest.
We just need another center, I'm not sold on Kendrick yet. His game is very limited.
The way Paul and Ricky are playing, and remember they are 26 and 27 respectivly, we have a good nucleus.
Big Al has a long way to go too. (2 years)
But in 2 years, we wil be a top 5 team in the league.
We have waited 20 years for #17, what is 2 more years.
And besides, who is gonna beat the Spurs for at least the next 2 years??
Hang in there, we are finally on our way.
PS, I agree with you on Marcus, I MIGHT keep him over Delonte right now.
But Orien IS better than Marcus right now at "running" an offense. And he isn't really that far behind Marcus at on the ball D.

We haven't even played 10 games yet and you are already turning in your chips?
This is an incredibly young team with a big number of new players on the team. It takes time for players to mesh with one another and get comfortable playing with each other. Just this summer alone, we added 5 new players (Green, Gomes, Greene, Dickau, Scalabrine), and 4 of them are already getting playing time. Last year we drafted 4 players (Jefferson, Delonte, Tony, Reed) and if Tony Allen wasn't hurt (or in trouble with the law), we'd have 4 more young players who are getting playing time this year.
That's 9 new players in just the last 2 years. Add in Perkins, who came directly out of high school without a lot of polish, and Banks, who is injured at this time, and that makes it 11 players who are still developing their games and trying to learn how to play in Doc's system.
Which brings me to Doc Rivers. The last thing you want to do is bring in a new coach at this time. Most of our players have only played for Doc Rivers and they are the ones who are learning and picking up his style the fastest. Yank him out of there and make the young kids learn from a new coach is only going to burden their learning development.
Doc is making his share of mistakes on the court with his coaching decisions, but he's learning too. This is only his second year as coach of the Celtics and he's also dealing with guys he's coaching for the very first time. I don't think Doc is the perfect coach, but I do think he'll be much better at it with time.
This team has looked good at times and bad at other times. Right now, we just aren't clicking and its making us look bad. The starting 5 is actually a pretty consistent unit who can be very explosive when they are on a roll. But we struggle with our second unit because they don't produce consistently or make enough of an impact. Our bench scoring is near the bottom of the league, but that's what happens when you take out last year's runner up for 6th Man of the Year and put him in the starting rotation. But if you look at the bench, its all made up of relatively new players on the team. Jefferson is nowhere near a finished product, Gomes is only a rookie, Reed is getting his first taste of consistent action, Scalabrine has to make the transition from playing in a motion offense with Jason Kidd to our system, and Dickau is a new PG and with PG's, you need to have good chemistry with the players to know where to get them the ball.

Well, thank you for remembering me!(Bows head). Doc has to go, period. It is becoming real obvious that he cannot see talent, cannot coach D for shoelaces, gets lost when other teams make a run. I mean, this is the same moron who drafted Reece Gaines using a first rounder. he has absolutely destroyed the confidence of banks and perkins, continues to favor offense over D as evidenced by playing Blount over Perk, does not play Al a lot, does not play OG even though West gets repeatedly raped by quicker PGs .
All in all, Doc is the worse thing that has happened to this franchise. I post the same thing that I posted at RealGM. I offer a bounty on the heads of Doc Rivers and Tony Brown. Your quote will be tripled. I dont care if I have to spend the rest of my life slogging to pay you back, but I will.

I agree with almost that and I still like him more than Pitino, or ML Carr

Hey BC. Even New Hampshire is warmer than Estonia. The Baltics is the only place I ever had to wear a sweater in summer

Unfortunately, this team is still recovering from the Rick Pitino days. Danny has done an admirable job of getting the team back on track.

He does shut down the young guys confidence. This coach is "supposedly" great with kids?? If so, he would be playing them more. I honestly think Doc is scared to lose and go in the lottery (EVEN IF IT MEANS A BETTER DRAFT SLOT!!!) so they dont want to play them. I am for 1 more major move. I will say it on the next thread I write.

Unfortunately, this team is still recovering from the Rick Pitino days. Danny has done an admirable job of getting the team back on track. Considering that Ben Wallace and Chauncey Billups are starters on Detriot, and Tony Parker(remember Joe Forte was picked before him) and Bowen are starters in San Antonio, THERE IS CERTAINLY A TON OF TRUTH TO THAT. But cheer up, we did the NBA a favor and burned Baker's contract.
