Just saw where the Bulls traded Derrick Rose (who has one year left on his contract ), Justin Holiday and a second-round pick in the 2017 draft to the Knicks for Robin Lopez, Jerian Grant and Jose Calderon. The Knicks also waived Tony Wroten.
This has some interest for the Celtics who have been seriously pursuing a trade for Jimmy Butler. I wonder if this means that they are keeping Butler and building around him or maybe rebuilding and will possibly trade him. They could get a decent start on a rebulid with the 3, 16 and 23rd picks.
Also, this will make the Knicks, who are a divisional rival much stronger with a big 3 of Rose, Melo and Porzingas. I guess they are banking on Rose being able to stay healthy for a season. Seems like a lot to give up for a one year rental of Rose.
What do you think about this trade?

It is just a ploy by Phil to sell tickets. Phil is banking on him staying healthy and playing for his next contract, but we all know he won't stay healthy all season. In other words the Bricks are still a mess and Phil is clueless on how to build a team.

If the Knicks want to win now, then maybe they'll send us Porzingas for Zeller? :-)

Just saw another trade that could have an impact on Boston. Jeff Teague to the Pacers. George Hill to the Jazz and Atlanta gets Utah's [HASH]12 pick.
With Teague being traded for a pick, it may mean that Horford may indeed be headed to Boston. And I don't know if Hill to Utah would have any effect on Hayward being traded. Adds more intrigue to the days ahead.

Also just thinking that possibly with Rose leaving Chicago they may be more likely to trade Butler for the third pick to snag Dunn as their new point guard. Wishful thinking.
