Count me as a guy who is intrigued by Skal Labissiere's skill set.
We know about his struggles as a freshmen at Kentucky, not getting off to a quick start as you'd expect from a highly touted prospect. And it seemed like he withered under the pressure Coach Calipari put on him.
But to Skal's credit, he fought his way into the rotation and earned playing time down the stretch, and had some nice moments on the court flashing his skills.
I don't see him as a top 5 pick, but at 16 I'd grab him quickly if he's there.
I think he can be an exceptional shooter for a 7 footer. He shows much potential as a catch and shoot guy (is really quick at loading up and releasing the ball) and he gets up high, and quickly off the ground.
He's really light and will get pushed around on the blocks until he can put on more weight. But he has nice touch and his hook shots, using either hand. Might be able to do damage down there in the future.
And lastly, he has potential as a weak side shot blocker.

I think I'd be happy with lots of guys with our other first round picks. To name a few:
Guerschon Yabusele (maybe a poor man's Draymond Green) Chiek Diallo Denzel Valentine Dejounte Murray Pat McCaw Malik Beasley Henry Ellenson Zhou Qi Jakob Poeltl
I mean, to think a bunch of these guys could very well be had at 23 is crazy. This draft may not be top heavy in franchise potential prospects, but in terms of potential rotational players and contributors, I feel there's a good supply of them. Just look at a guy like Gary Payton II -- might be a mid second round gem who provides a defensive spark off the bench and a little bit of scoring.

It'll definitely be tough to keep 3 first rounders on the roster, so yeah, consolidating them for a higher pick would be wise.
But at the same time, we could use the 16th and the 23rd to upgrade the talent on our roster and replace some who are currently occupying spots.
Like, I'm ready to move on from James Young (who hasn't improved much in 2 years, and might have already been bumped below RJ Hunter).
Maybe a guy like McCaw or Malachi Richardson can take Young's roster spot.
Or maybe take Sabonis and wait for him to overtake Zeller (Sabonis should be a better rebounder and defender). Or even take Qi and hope his three point shooting makes Zeller expendable.

If Danny can't trade at least 2 of the first round picks I see him drafting Foreign players that he can stash overseas. Maybe they can join Ben Pepper on the team some day

Haha!
If we go the stash route, 2 guys I'd hope we take are Yabusele and Korkmaz.

I've seen some features and stories and videos on Domantas Sabonis and if he was available, he might be a good fit for the team.

Yeah, he could give us rebounding, high motor, and smart passing. In other words, a serviceable big man in the rotation, maybe a backup 4.
