To those of you that see the games---
Were is the progress and differences in these two? Can they be productive and get minutes, on the same team? Are their roles compatible?
I just need to know what you see here. TIA.

Reed is a very good defender who runs the floor and finishes off the break. However his offense isn't nearly as good as his defense. Gomes is a good all around player but undersized. He is a very good offensive rebounder, can score down low and has a pretty good outside shot. He is the guy who is always on the right place at the right time. If he was 6' 9" or 6' 10" he would have been a lottery pick, But since he is only 6'6" he is a bit of a tweener and can't guard athletic sf or big pf. If we could combine the two of them we would have one heck of a player. We can call that player Rustyan Greed.

Neither has shown much lately. I think Doc Rivers might have something to do with that.

If Gomes was a few inches taller, he'd be starting right now. If Reed was a catch and shoot player, ala Ricky, he'd be starting.
Gomes needs playing time because once he gets his groove on the court, he's going to be a terrific player who everyone can't get enough of. A true team player who can give the team whatever it needs. He gets a lot of offensive rebounds, he can get points off of putbacks, he can score under the basket, he's good at anticipating, he runs the floor well and can finish plays, he causes turnovers on defense, and he's capable of doing a lot of other things.
Reed is a good energy player and he's a tough defender, but he's not good in the team offense. Needs to be selfish in order to score points, and that's not what we need.

If he is 6'6, this reminds me of an upgrade of Brandon Hunter. Neither has shown much lately. I think Doc Rivers might have something to do with that. Doc may have won COY but that was then. I have no idea what the hell hes doing with this team,. Taking it to hell?? His rotations are so awkward.

Gomes is the new Eric Williams. Which doesn't bother me at all cause we need guys who can come in and produce from the bench.

Absolutely. And Eric Williams was the guy you needed whenever a situation was in trouble or if the situation needed a boost.
