Currently Mickey is leading the summer league in blocked shots per game with 3.5.
I found this interesting, and encouraging. Interesting because I watched him miss a few opportunities that I'm pretty sure he would have had he just slid over a split second sooner. But this is encouraging because he's only a rookie and he's going to learn more about the art and technique of blocking shots, which will make him better at his craft.
Plus, he's going to add muscle to his frame which will allow him to stand his ground better.

Really like the effort I'm seeing on the boards, and of course on the shot blocks. Looks like a different player from the one who played his first summer league game. His confidence has really blossomed (actually, so has Rozier's, Hunter's and Holmes').

Hunter looks really good so far, Can't wait to see how he does during the regular season.
Rozier is gonna be tough if he can ever figure out how to finish near the rim. He may need some time in the D League so that they can run the offense through him and give him a lot of dribble penetration opportunities.

Finishing at the rim won't be a problem for Rozier (I remember people had the same concern about Rondo). Its a matter of him not rushing it. My hope is he learns to hone his jumper.
Likewise, I'm hoping for good things from RJ. To expect a Klay Thompson or Steph Curry type stardom is a reach, but maybe in time a Mike Dunleavy type of role is what he'll slide into. I really like his poise. Not a bad ball handler, and even with defensive pressure, he makes smart plays and passes (i think I have more confidence in his decision making than Smart's).

There is time before the season and pieces will be moved. Having trust in Ainge and his scout is one thing I have. Stevens is another bonus, IMO.

Mickey's ability to protect the rim and also grab rebounds makes either Sully or Olynyk available. I really like his energy and the way he plays. I really hope they can work out a long term contract with him. He's going to be good. He may only be 6'9 but he's long and athletic and has good instincts.

Mickey is our Tiago Splitter, our PJ Brown -- a meat and potato guy who isn't flashy, isn't a star, but gives us defense, rebounding, and the ability to knock down 17 footers.
He should be a fine veteran in a couple of years.

Looked good again tonight. Had a couple of good blocked shots, a few tough rebounds in traffic. And he runs the floor too. Should make Tommy happy.

It'll be interesting to see if we make a move to clear out the logjam of bigs we now have. Right now I'd say Sully, Amir, KO, Lee and Zeller would be first in line for minutes. Jonas and Mickey would be picking up pine time. And rarely do teams have a five man big rotation, so one of those first 5 guys would be glued to the bench as well.
I smell a trade a'comin',

If Olynyk wasn't 7 feet tall, I'd say he's likely gone this summer. Jonas Jerebko basically is KO with more hustle on the boards and the defensive end. I still think he's most likely to he the ine traded.
Sully has a better shot at sticking because he's one of our very few interior scorers, and a solid rebounder.
If Mickey adjusts quickly to the speed of the NBA, he'll earn minutes in the rotation.
Zeller is a 7 footer, and Brad likes him.
So yeah, its pretty much going to be Zeller, Lee, Johnson, and Sully playing the most minutes at the 4 and 5, with Mickey possibly forcing his way in. Jonas will get minutes at the 4 when we play small.

Between Sully and KO it will depend on what they are looking for in the player they keep. KO stretches the floor and as was said, he's 7' tall. Sully plays inside and rebounds better but his 3 point shooting has been dismal.
It may also depend on the market out there for them. Much has been made of Sully's battle of the bulge and so it's possible that teams would be more inclined to trade for KO than him because of it.
I do believe there will be a trade. It's possible that Lee may be the odd man out if his trade value is higher than the other two. But there may have to be a 2 or 3 for 1 trade and so more than one player will be going.

Undersized players are really hard to gauge. However, wing span recently has been a good indicator, and not height alone. From what I have seen, summer league only, Mickey's game is like a cross between Ben Wallace (rebounds, and defense), and Brandon Bass (jumpers). Could be a really good find @33.
