Who is this year's surprise highly ranked draftee who goes much later than widely anticipated?
Like Pierce who slid down to 10.
I'm not talking about Sam Dekker and his type (late lottery) because these caliber of players are generally all over the board.

I'll say Stanley Johnson.
At one point during the college basketball season, he was a top 5 pick, even ahead of Justise Winslow. Now, he's comfortably somewhere between 5 - 10. He might be a guy who slides into the 8 - 14 range.

Cauley Stein might be another slider.

Yeah, I can see him sliding too. Maybe into the 6 - 10 range.

I would do a freaking backflip if we can get WCS at 16. He is totally worth the gamble at that point. He has elite defensive potential, and he is solid from the FT line.

Yeah, Willie at 16 is a no brainer. Possible ankle issues and all. Fills a need.

I see WCS as the guy who falls

It hasn't really been a surprise lately, but during the season some mocks were projecting Looney from UCLA as a top 6 pick. He's prolly going to go in the 20s. He's a good example of the kind of play that would maybe go back to school if the NCAA passes that new law that allows players go back to college just before the draft.

I wouldn't pick him at all (Looney), even in the second round. Just don't seem him playing well in the NBA.
