So apparently Sully stopped following the Celts on twitter in the last 24 hours and started following the Hornets. I assume the target is WCS or Myles Turner

Saying Celtics are targeting Okafor, may move Smart plus 9 to get up to 3. Plus other pieces

Ok so he is still following the Celts. It could be that he is trying to send a message to the Celts (but not through his agent) or it could be that due to the Hornets crazy day he is just following them to get the news

I would take whoever is left out of Okafor and Russell

Interesting.
Sully is already a proven commodity (an NBA starting caliber rebounder and post scorer). Who knows if the 8th pick, whoever we draft, will reach Sully's level?
This might be a move made with future moves in site (like getting Love, ALdridge, Monroe, Cousins, etc).

Meaning, the rumors are real, and we could be looking at the 9th pick.

This is the most intriguing nba draft ever and that's how I feel about it

Sully costs money and has health problems and didn't really contribute to the playoff run. You might get someone darn good at [HASH]9.

Yeah, he's got health issues, I'll give you that. But he really doesn't cost a lot of money, and he didn't contribute in the playoffs because maybe he wasn't well enough to play in the playoffs anyways. No one was expecting him to be back for the remainder of the season, especially the postseason.

Depending on who is available, I'd do that trade. I freaking love Sully, but there are two reasons I'd be willing to move him:
1) There are a lot of vet options available at PF. Love and Monroe (who I'm not crazy about) are on our FA radar, and even if we don't get them, we'd have the cap space to get David Lee in a trade.
2) I'm hoping we move a lot of our players that are going to need new contracts in the next 2 off-seasons. There are gonna be way too many teams with stupid amounts of cap money these next two off-seasons, and guys are gonna get wildly overpaid. I don't want the C's to have to wildly overpay to keep guys like Sully.

Who are the players you want to move?

Sully and KO, if we can get decent value for them.

Sully and KO, if we can get decent value for them. Which makes keeping Jerebko this summer for a decent price even more important. He can replace KO rather easily because he's more versatile, both offensively and as a defender.

Of if need be, we could prolly bring back Bass for depth.

Also, I wish we knew if we had a chance to get a big time FA. Because if we don't, there are going to be a lot of opportunities for teams with cap space to take on salary in exchange for young talent/picks. Sounds like HOU will give up the 18 for cap space, and Miami may move 10 if someone is willing to pick up McRoberts, Chalmers, etc, not to mention David Lee in GS.
