Let me tell what's missing now ! Like I said, in the preseason posts - the C's need to develop a IN"KILLER STINCT". When there is talent, team spirit and even decent defense, there MUST be some "KILLER INSTINCT" to survive in the NBA. It is simple - teams consists of professionals that will not "die" easily. You've GOT to close out teams and not be "cute " about it.
The sooner the C's realize this and implement it, no telling just how far they can go ! They have proven after three games that they can play - with anybody !

They sure have. I just hate when certain guys do stupid things to make this team lose because all we as fans been seeing is coming up short of everything. And respect hasn't changed. Refs still make terrible calls vs our guys.

Bingo!! We don't have that killer instinct to go for the throat when the eneny is down. But it'll come with time. This team can be dangerous on offense and there's no telling how far we can go when our offense is in sync and the ball is moving around the court. When Delonte and Raef are scoring and contributing with the little things, you know we are doing things right.

Very true. When Delonte, Blount and Raef contribute well, this team can be dangerous as seen. Mark has been hands down a lot better. Hes making us forget about getting another veteran bigman to mentor these guys (Antonio Davis, PJ Brown, Dale Davis). Although for other purposes, I hope Danny can make a run at a certain nice addition type pf by giving up very little. Guess who I'm talking about.

What I meant was, when Delonte and Raef (and like you mentioned, Mark Blount) are scoring and getting assists, etc., it means that there's good ball movement and the ball is finding the open players. These 3 players are guys who only take shots when they are open, so when they are scoring, it means that the ball is being spread around the court and there's good rhythm on the court.
When the ball stops moving, the offensive flow stops and the rhythm gets out of sync, and Delonte, Raef, and Blount aren't effective.

Right and I noticed Mark was getting his open looks during the ny game and even the others but not when it was in the 4th period of the bobcats game. I must say though, maybe Raef can play better this year due to playing 1 full year after his big surgery (instead of coming right off his surgery like last year) and maybe hell rebound on his career that way just by continuing to say healthy to make up for lost time. I can see it happening if the right guys get open and score especially on the fast break. If its a fast break, Raef can knock down 3's when nobodys near him. Blount can hit his shots, its all relevant. Even Blount can hit his shots when players guard him. That game winner was huge for however long it lasted until Detroit won. Perkins and Jefferson aren't able to hit game winners right now or hit a key shot in like 20 seconds left in the game even. Our problem in the toronto loss was Raef and Blount fouling out + Jefferson picking up 5 in the ot so Perkins and Scalabrine were out there and thats definitely not what we want plus when Jefferson was in there, he misses his ft's. Many factors as to why they lost that game. Now yous all seen how it is when Pierce just blends into the offense opposed to when he does it aone in the 4th. Pierce needed those looks to get to the line which he got but he even missed some. Thats unlikely for him. Ricky also played like he didn't want it as much but only at times though. It just happened to be the times when the game was on the line. Delonte now, hes tried every minute hes been in there.

I watched the Bobcats game again tonight and I caught a lot of things the second time around that I wasn't particularly payint attention to the first time. I don't know if it was because of exhaustion or lack of motivation, but Blount just wasn't in this game. He looked lackadaisical and not the same Blount who played with a ton of energy the 1st 2 games (and much of the preseason). Raef was also a bit complacent too, not attacking the boards with ferver as the other 2 games. Neither guy was cutting to the basket hard after the screen, nor were they moving hard to find open spots. Just had a bad start to the game and it carried over the rest of the game.

Lets just hope Blount doesn't go back to decline mode after 10 games. Its still early. All I know is if he plays with energy, this team will keep close with many teams (like detroit) and not lose to teams like the bobcats. His game was a little off in that one.
