C17
I WILL be here after EVERY GAME.
Sometimes it will be an hour or so after the game.
I have TIVO and don't start watching the games until about 5:30 pacific time.
I actually think we will surprise alot of the pundits out there that are picking the Nets to win the Atlantic. We are getting NO respect.

I actually think we will surprise alot of the pundits out there that are picking the Nets to win the Atlantic. We are getting NO respect. We never will either. The truth is that these last 2 games were atrocious. Losing to the bobcats in this fashion really pissed me the F off. I am speechless in some ways. The refs are at fault plus Blount fouling out (which he never does) happened. If I am not blaming the refs, I am only blaming the fact for the charlotte game that in the overtime, perkins got a shot opportunity to tie it and he missed. They should not have got it to him. This is when Blount or Raef was needed but they were fouled out. Blowing the lead was the teams fault. I am not naming any names. Paul Pierce made a F up. Ricky did hit a big shot but it did not count I mean WTF?. It didn't go over and out, it bounced off the rim and ricochet off the shot clock but it did not go over the top and out. Another poor officiating move.

A shot attempt was not designed for Perkins. He had a shot at tying the game on a missed shot. He grabbed the offensive rebound and tried to put the ball back into the hoop, but babied it, and the shot was not even close. He's not accustomed to taking such big shots and that's probably why he failed.

Exactly my point Derren. Hes too young to be taking huge shots like that.

Exactly my point Derren. Hes too young to be taking huge shots like that. The more tough shots the kids take now, the sooner they start hitting them. We are too young to take these guys out of the mix.

Yea I suppose. This should be a lottery season though if the point of it is to develop the young guys. If this be the case, then Perkins or Jefferson could be in there learning regularly even without our starters fouled out to be counted on. If we want to see our team make the playoffs, this isn't the right approach. If we don't, well then Blount, Raef and Pierce could sit on the bench and let all the kids play and get a 13 win season going haha.

I'm not saying to throw the rookie development away, Im just saying that if this team wants to make the playoffs year in and year out and win more regular season games as well, the best way to do that is if the kids are on the bench in tight games.

No, that's not what I was saying. There was no play designed for Perkins to take the last shot. It just happened to fall right in front of him as the designed play missed the rim and caromed right to him. His shot attempt came off a missed shot. But the way he shot that ball really shows that he doesn't really have a soft touch. Maybe his added strength has disrupted his touch some.

I actually thought it was a light shot so much that it just nicked the rim. Maybe hes trying to not be so powerful but it just ends up being a light shot perhaps due to toning it down so much.

Sometimes depending on strength, that can depend on how much you airball it and when you go soft, its too soft a lot of the times. I had this trouble before while shooting. Id go for 3 and it went way over the rim while other times my shot hit.
