College = Iowa Hawkeyes NBA = Boston Celtics  NFL = Miami Dolphins MLB = Oakland Athletics NHL = Philadelphia Flyers (not much interest anymore) NASCAR = Kevin Harvick (was Rusty Wallace - retired) PGA = Phil Michelson (was Jack Nicklaus - retired) |

I know a lot of us on this board aren't from the Boston area, so we root for a lot of teams in different sports besides the ones that are Boston-based. So let's see them!
NBA - Celtics
MLB - Twins
NFL - Vikings
NHL - Stars (haven't followed them with much interest since the late 90s, and even then it was minimal. Couldn't name one guy on the team since Modano retired.
College - don't mind the NDSU Bison, but on the National stage I usually root for whichever team hasn't won in a long time. I don't really follow college football and I don't give much time to college baskeball until the tournament starts, though I will watch certain games just to scout some of the bigger nba talents.
Nascar - Rarely follow, but if asked I'd usually say my favorite was Jeff Gordon (I enjoy how much the good ol' boys dislike him) and Mark Martin (dude used to compete with guys about half his age).
Golf- don't watch

Generally the Boston teams and PSU
Internationally I don't follow them really closely but Zalgiris Kaunas and the Lithuanian national team is a team I am pretty familiar with.

I am like you fresh. It's the 3 major sports football, basketball, baseball. Growing up football was the main sport pretty much. Cowboys, Celtics Royals. Also like the pats and Red Sox. Also like the bruins but I think I've actually never w atched a full bruins game in my life. Also like the blackhawks back in the day mainly because of Jeremy roenick in nhl hockey the video game due to college and all that stuff. I would own with him in that game. Don't follow hockey at all though really. Pretty diehard when it comes to the 3 major sports though.
I like all sports though. John Mcrenroe was my guy in tennis back in the day. Golf never really had a favorite. Nascar never really followed either.
My teams are doing really good right now. I chose some good ones and have stuck with them.
