power running, ball control, efficient passing, good D. Oldschool cowboys football. Win. now if they can do this every week and consistently and not let their heads get to them. They'll win a lot of games if they do this! No more hero ball.

It's like the cowboys of old out there tonight. Love the balance and playaction and good solid D and players doing their jobs. I wish the nfl would stop screwing up the game and let people hit someone though. Hate all the touchbacks on kickoffs. Cowboys actually staying in bounds and going for that extra yard though.
I thought the cowboys were dead and they only played like this with me in madden with the playcalling. Big smile on face after that run by romo t hough. This is the cowboys I remember. This is how you do it. Just keep it up!

I agree CF. Awesome to watch, but I'm still skeptical. They're the type of team to get it together for a game or two and then revert back to stupid plays and mistakes. I'm hoping this year is different, but it always seems to happen. Also praying that Murray and the rest of our defense doesn't get injured.

This is true. We see them the same way.
Teams that play the right way makes me want to root for them though. It's kind of sad how sports have become. It's missing htat something. Those old cowboys teams I truly loved because they were out there and just had that heart or something. It's difficult to root for todays athletes sometimes.
The nfl is the same way. Too much of a lack of something.

Cowboys have always had a lot of talent though. It's more just their focus has been messed up. Never liked when they went to the 3-4 on defense. They finally have a big offensive line again. Hopefully Romo can stay h ealthy and they do well with adversity too. Not sure this team has the toughness if things start to go wrong yet.
I bet some of the old time cowboys talked jerry's head off about this stuff. G oing back to the 4-3. Focusing on running the ball and playaction efficient passing with a big line play. Their roster is built like those old cowboys teams now. Aikman was never the scrambler Tony is though. Staubach did alright with a running game and the no name defense though and really good receivers. The cowboys have always kind of had that formula. Why I like them.
Watching Jason Witten that game and his reactions though I just got the feeling they actually cared about winning for the first time in a long time. It wasn't just ab out collecting a paycheck. They looked like they actually gave a !!!GREENIAC!!!.

The Cowboys have spent a lot of high draft picks on their OLine and it is now starting to pay off.

Watching the first ever college "playoff" game. Kinda rare to have the last two Heisman winners on the field in the same game
