Way off in the future and not sure if we will get a player like this. Might makes before then to get a big man in here I feel. But Embiid definitely is a guy a lot of people wanted including myself. Seems like a great celtic and fun guy to root for and would be well liked here, but Okafor's game is actually more remiscent of Tim Duncan than Embiid.

Not the rim protector Embiid is. Embiid is ridiculous that way. But Okafor is a more complete player and protects the rim as well. Also strikes me as a guy who should be healthier during his career. Embiid has smooth advanced post moves. Okfaor is more like Tim Duncan to Embiid's olajuwan.
Okafor is a more complete player offensively with his offensive skillset and as a team player. Embiid is more a big force in the paint. Shot blocking and interior post moves. Okafor is more versatile.
Rondo and Embiid vs Smart and Okafor. Not sure who i'd take there.

Okafor will be one of the prized big men in next year's draft, but there are others.
Okafor's strength is going to be his low post scoring. He's not the quick athletic type that lot of big men today are (DeAndre Jordan, Anthony Davis). He's more the station to station type.

Okafor from what I have seen reminds me of Al Jeff

Yeah the AlJeff comparison is apt. A stronger AlJeff.

Originally, I thought it was Emeka Okafor being referred too. My bad.

I don't see the Al Jefferson comp. Honestly, not to say he's hall of fame material, but Okafor moves more like Duncan.

you are correct. He isn't Al J. He is more like Duncan.

If we are trading rondo and going to be a team that builds through the draft getting a player like Okafor would be a target I would guess. There are other bigs too. alexander and towns are intriguing but I need to see more of those guys. I'm not completely sold. okafor looks like the next big thing though.
Still very early though depending on if guys stay in school etc. That's part of the gamble of the draft in ways. He could be 2015. He could be 2016 for all we know right now.
Kauley Stein is probably the next best as far as a rim protector but is limited otherwise as an offensive player. He's more like your typical finsher with a lack of post moves.
Towns would get killed right now, and Alexander is undersized but tenacious. I think any of these guys would fit well in a role if we can get up and get one, but Okafor is the real stud of the bunch. He's a better overall prospect than Embiid and the best big man prospect.
