Smart doesn't really help us in trades

If there weren't trades out there to be had not sure how getting smart would change that. I think the Celtics want to make moves but getting smart isn't necessarily going to help us get love unless the twolves just want him as an asset or to move Rubio. I also think Smart is really good and love his defense and why wouldn't we want to keep a guy like that?

Seems to me like most of these rumored deals really weren't close to happening and getting Smart doesn't really help that either.

I can see some people thinking this is an underwhelming draft but the Celtics did the right thing here. They explored but ultimately just drafted and weren't to pull the trigger on bad deals and took the best player they could and that's good with me.

trades ultimately are difficult to make and they have to be the right ones in ways. I think Rondo and Smart can play really good together. smart is a leader and could do really well for Rondo. Moves are ultimately going to be made though. Maybe we still go after love and offer up Rondo. I don't know but not sure how this really helps that situation. I hope the Celtics keep making smart moves and building ultimately. We got 2 really good pieces.

it might open up other trades to deal Rondo. But not sure really. Rondo and Smart is a two headed monster for now. Smart is going to contribute immediately as well and win games imo.
