But the rumor is that we have it down to Randle or Smart. If we just end up drafting and playing it safe and the Celtics end up taking who they feel is best. Not what people were expecting overly or fireworks but I'd be ok with this for whatever reason. This would be ainge just drafting and playing it safe and solid and making sure he gets a solid player imo. Ainge will never stop either. Lots of scenarios I'm sure. But if we just can't get anything done and want to draft makes sense.

Makes me wonder who the pick at #17 would be in this instance. Might be boring for some but I still like this scenario.

The rumor basically says Vonleh is out. Embiid would be as well unless maybe he slides. Makes sense because vonleh is pretty young and Embiid has his issues and might not be there. Not necessarily what people expect and everyone wants something big to happen. We need a center and everything but I would be fine with this.

Also makes sense why Randle was asked to come back for a 2nd workout but ditched it. Smart also commented that Celtics really liked his workout.

Seems more like plan B if we can't get anything done to me but who knows.

If Vonleh is out, it is because management determined he can't play the 5 in the NBA. Randle would be an upgrade over Sully or KO which is right inline of how Danny drafts which is to improve positions on the team.

I agree. It's almost Embiid time though. Listening to the pre stuff, it's pretty obvious the drama. we aren't taking aaron Gordon.

Same with Jabari downplaying the #1 pick imo. If wiggins goes #1 though interesting. I think Jabari is though.
