Danny calling about the #1 pck

Ainge is trying to see what it'll take to trade for the 1st pick.

First question: what'll it cost to get it?

Second question: who is Danny targeting?  Parker?  Wiggins?  Embiid?

Probably trying to get Parker or Wiggins. next to love it's a good option. probably the surest things we can get. Not sure how much it will cost but if Cleveland was planning on taking Embiid they might swap picks if they can pick up something extra.

iginla vs sequin to me. who do you take? If we want to go the draft route might make a lot of people happy and be a good go between.

I would say Parker or Wiggins though. Probably Wiggins. But who knows. I think I would take Wiggins if I had the #1. But that's a whole other debate.

Doesn't mean we won't trade the pick for Kevin Love either. I think I might keep Wiggins in that instance though. That's tough.

If the cavs are eja in this instance and the Celtics are me no deal will ever get done. It is Cleveland too. Flip Saunders is difficult enough. Although the cavs who knows. They might do something like that.

They've had a lot of #1 picks. If they really wanted Embiid and wanted that fit it's possible they would trade down and try to pick up other pieces to go with Kyrie. There might be hope there too that LeBron returns so t hey might not be that enthused about parker or wiggins. They might want other pieces to bring LeBron back there.

Maybe just maybe....

Wiggins and Kyrie is a really good fit to me. They would kind of silly to do that imo. But who knows. Flip has kind of gone off the deep end with the GS stuff and Love. They aren't even talking anymore. There are st ill a lot of options.

I agree that if I'm the Cavs and CF00 is the Celts no deal is getting done. I wouldn't want Rondo because I have Kyrie. All those other picks? You can kinda keep em unless you send a lot of those future ones my way.

I would give up some future picks for Wiggins. Not a ton though. We'd still have to build around him. I'd give up the 6th pick, and a future #1 for the #1 pick though. Maybe throw in KO but not sure.

#1, a future #1(not sure which yet) and KO for the #1 overall pick this draft. That's a good offer. I'd have to think about it though but yes I would do that.

I'd feel pretty stupid if KO ends up being Dirk and better than Wiggins. That's more the hold up to me. I don't think KO is dirk myself.

Wiggins is more Dr. J than MJ to me. I like him a lot though. Maybe a better version of Dominique. I don't know. I'd put him in that class of Dr. J potentially. Not MJ. Could be Vince Carter.

He's no larry bird either. He's not on that level. He's not on LeBron or durants level either. But I like him better than LeBron as a person.

I'd rather hav ewiggins than LeBron crazy as that seems. I don't overly want LeBron. the whole team is centered around him and he's not loyal at all imo.

If I added another pick? Think like Cleveland though. If you could go and get Lebron to come back there and get Embiid. We get wiggins. Cleveland potentially gets Kyrie, Embiid and Lebron.

It's a long shot but worth inquiring. Love vs Wiggins to me is like now we are talking. Embiid is solid. So is Vonleh. We need a center bad.
