I tend to be mroe cobncerned about the pre-season games t han some of you. NBA doesn't ru n by a switch.
I continue to be concerned about TOs. Had 20 last night. Davis had 5 of them. This is the second year for the coaching staff. I would think they would be getting a better handle on this problem.
Bench time last night was kind of skimpy except for Al.
I like very much the positive comments floating arou nd about OGreen. Also liked his 4 assists in very limited time. Maybe he will turn out to be a bigger steal than Gomes.

I do not see Allen becoming a factor until close to mid-season, if at all.

I don't like the words crap or !!!GREENIAC!!! but I had to exhalt ferbo for his comments cause they are just hillarious.
Also the celts look like they are headed for the top pick.
Derren how could this be happening. The Celts are making the Bulls and Raps look like th Globetrotters out there. Are they that better coached? are they that more talented? Injuries and thug arrests don't make a whole team not hustle and have no pride.
I would grade the players this way
Charlie V A
Tony Allen F - The new Kobe
PP C+ he can still score, but now he can disappear too
Ricky Davis D+ disappearing even more than PP
Orien Green B- Outplaying Dickau and at least he's tall
GG C- has done nothing, but at least he hasn't gotten arrested or hurt
Al J B first game back wasn't too bad
Scala C Nothing special but he wasn't supposed to be. Plays tall
Banks B Dickau makes him look better. Outplays Dickau by getting hurt
Dickau F- looks like approximately the worst pg in the league
Delont B+ I just like him and his game but he has some really bad games sometimes. Needs more time
Reed C+ Had a few games, has disappeared lately
Gomes C+ It's like he's Reed's identical twin
Borchardt C+ Possibly outplaying Scala
Raef C+ Nothing special but at least he hasn't gotten hurt or arrested
Blount B doing ok
Perk B- doing ok but has a looooong way to go

I'm not pessimistic in the sense that I think they are bad and always will be. I think they can get better and once the best players play more than 25 mins a game some stuff might change. Once Banks and Al J come back from injury things will get a little better, but right now I see a pretty horrid team, and they aren't even up and down. They're just always down. I'm pretty nervous

weakest link is pg play - that's the thing that scares the hell out of me. imo the only thing that holds us back

would you say it's worse than last year/ If not, what's the diff? I'm hoping once DWest and OGreene get lost of mins and Banks gets back to compete things will get better

does anyone know if a horrible preseason usually translates to a playoff year? Did Larry's teams used to do aweful in the preseason?

Seems to me that it is obvious that Doc is pretty high on OGreen. He is getting time, which Bynum is not.
I wonder if he might turn out to be a quicker version of DJ?
Could he turn out to be a sleeper for the year?
Fascinating question is whether Cs will keep him around or ship him to NBDL.

Those teams we knew who was going to play so the preseason didn't mean what it does with this team. For Larry's teams, these were just games to get in condition and work on timing.

On another front: for decades, Neil Diamond has been one of my favorites singers. Got to see him live in concert here in Dallas last week. Quite a show.
Local arts critic kind of panned him for doing only oldies.
Strange: when I looked around at all the people in the audience standing and swaying and singing along, I didn't see anyone complaining.
Saw women of all ages doing things with their butts I didn't realize you could do out of bed and with your clothes on.
