MArcus Smart and Randle, plus a bunch of guards. Stauskis and Harris being the two that stand out to me. Also Levine and a few others. They haven't even worked out Exum which is weird to me. But if how they are working guys out is any indication it goes along with how I rate guys too. Seems like Vonleh then Gordon. Then maybe smart. We are also looking for a shooting guard who can score. Maybe we'll trade for one instead. Thing is I've been doing my own evaluating of guys and the workouts just happened that way because again I apparently think like Danny Ainge. I don't make this stuff up either. I was looking at footage of vonleh the other day and looking at videos and he jumped up my rankings. Then I scouted him and read what the Celtics said and it was very similar. So they seem to be seeing the things I am. I hope at least.
Vonleh might have just been brought in first because he was close by but who knows. Love also made a visit first and foremost. But seems like how they set things up and interest levels for both parties might have something to do with it. Probably not. Just scheduling. Having Smart come in with a bunch of guards is a good bet to see how he compares with other guards too and as a leader so good way to do it.

Lot of players in that group I'd like to see in a Celtics jersey someday.

There are some good players this draft. It's a shame we have to choose I agree. Smart apparently showed off his leadership skills I was just reading. Tehre have been some questions with Rondo in that regard so who knows. Smart also said Rondo is one of the best point guards of all time and that he'd have no problem riding the bench. I tend to think we'd like Smart to play though but nice thing of him to say. Smart is a cool dude though. Why I like him. Also plays the game the right way.

I'm having a hard time myself deciding. I'm also having a tough time deciding who ainge might have a read on this draft. It could be marcus smart for all I know. The issue is Smart and Rondo are very similar. Moreso than it may seem. Rondo may be more of a passer and Smart a scorer. I could definitely see Ainge taking him. Whether it's the right pick I don't know.
We do need a scorer and Smart is probably the best scorer at that spot.

If we are starting over from the ground up and with a young group I'm sure ainge would love to do that with Smart being his guy and baby. I think rondo was that for him and still is in a lot of ways. But personality wise they have the same makeup in ways. Different people and smart might be a bit more mature even at his age.

Rondo has some insecurity issues and issues with dealing with the media where Smart is more a guy who would be a darling. Some people just don't like rondo. Smart would not be that. hard to be a leader when not everyone likes you. Everyone would like Marcus smart.
