Apparently, his physical did not go so well.
If this report came out by some team outside of the top spot, I can see it as a tactic to try and get Embiid to fall.
But the report came from the Cav's, who hold the top pick. It makes no sense for them to lie about this to cause him to drop.
It's very possible Embiid has a serious red flag.

If he falls to us would you take him? I'd hate to draft a bust at 6 this draft? I'm not sure I would. Too many good players this draft where I have no issue passing on guys like Embiid or Parker or Wiggins for that matter. Why I think it's not really worth it to trade up. We are in a good spot. WE can even trade down and still get who we want ultimately.
I think i'd stay at 6 personally and just draft. I wouldn't necessarily take Embiid either if he is there.

It seems like these players are slotted already. This draft is kind of cookie cutter to me. There aren't a ton of question marks. players now are so developed in such a way it comes down to talent and athleticism and skillset in ways. Embiid deserves to go top 3 based on his talent. There are so many players in this draft I don't know how much a red flag drops a guy like that. You are right though he isn't going to slide to us. Unless there is some major issue where he needs surgery and then I don't know if I would take him with the other players there. It would have be looked at long term and with the medical staff and if that's worth it with what the Celtics are trying to do.

there aren't busts in this draft though like past years. Players are what they are in ways. It's more injuries and if certain players are going to fit etc.. I don't think you are going to see players like Rondo or tony parker picked at 20 either. These players are so well scouted and prepared. Teams are more than likely going to know who they are taking and what's going on before the draft even happens.
