Vonleh played in MA. To me, best case scenario - Chris Bosh; worst case sceanrio - Andrew Nicholson.

Not really. Nicholson has a good post up game. A poor man's version of Big Al.

I was thinking more build-wise. But you are right, some scouts though Nicholson's post game had potential. He was also supposed to have a decent jumper, like Vonleh.

I don't think he is like Nicholson either. Nicholson is more cerebral like Al J and not as physical. Body type and athletic ability and game is different. Vonleh is a stretch 4 who can handle the ball and is going to be built like a mack truck someday. He also has huge hands.
AL J is a big softy on defense imo. But is a cerebral player who holds the ball in the post. Vonleh has the ability to be a very good defender.
He is inconsistent because he lacks advanced post moves at this point and lacks consistency in most facets of his game because he's 18 years old. He doesn't always seem engaged catching passes and knowing what to do with the ball offensively and defensively. He makes poor decisions and loses his aggressiveness. His physical ability is really good though.

I think he's more Kwame brown than Nicholson. He has good feel but can be a bit stiff at times. Jefferson is pretty smooth and cerebral in the post. Has a soft touch. Vonleh has that ability to be smooth like bosh or Aldridge. Different players though.
Al J has soft hands. Vonleh has big hands. Gets the dropsies sometimes but his hands are like catcher mits. Dez Bryant for the cowboys has huge hands. He can make catches other people can't. He also gets the dropsies sometimes. Soft hands vs Big hands like catcher mits are different.
Mark Blount had big hands and they were l ike stone lol. We don't want that . his hands were not catcher mits though. They were more like trying to catch something with bricks attached to your hands. Vonleh has good hands. They are just huge and He jus ttakes his eyes off the pass and isn't paying attention sometimes.
Kwame's floor was pretty low. I don't think Vonlehs is. His floor might be Nicholson but different players. I think vonlehs floor is not low at all though. I think he is barring injury guaranteed surefire talent in ways in a few years. Unless he just mentally doesn't get it. He could be a derrick coleman type where he just is lazy or something doesn't click with him where his skillset just doesn't improve.
Allstar level talent who will eb that or be a guy who pisses a lot of people off like jeff green where he just doesn't fit the style of play or whatever.

I would agree. I think Nicholson maximizes his talent in ways. if vonleh plays to his talent level he is more talented maybe. I don't know though. Nicholson might be really good. I agree though Nicholson is a good floor for him as far as talent.
I more see it like Nicholson plays good and d oesnt piss anyone off though. Vonleh if he plays at nicholsons level he's playing to his floor and might.

Not knocking Nicholson either. I think he is underrated and is only going to get better and be like you say. He can be really good.

Moved this to the draft area. I posted it in the wrong place I think. The C's were working him out and I didn't know wh ere to put it because it was in relation to what the Celtics were actually doing but it was a draft thing. Where should this go in that instance do you think?
If its what theceltics are doing and what people are talking about currently which is the draft does it go in the main forum or here? That's kind of a weird call because that is what is going on right now.
Do you get what I'm saying? If we are going to talk about the draft where should it go? I made another post about trading the pick and it's like where do I put this. It's a draft thing but it's also the main thing right now. So confused.

I think you made the right move, but yeah, it is kind of a toss-up since the Celtics are in the story as well.

I don't want to step on peoples toes anymore either. This is kind of derrens corner and I like to give my input on what the Celtics are doing and what I think they are and the draft and everything in between and that's just how brain works. I can't be contained lol.

Nah, it doesn't matter. I think I'm doing the same thing myself (mixing up where the posts should go).

Cool that's why I like this place I can say whatever I want and people don't seem to mind too much or take it too personally because it's usually not meant like that. I say just don't read it. My posts are pretty long sometimes and i'm trying to cut down lol. I have these thoughts in my head and get on a roll sometimes though. better to have discussions and respond and say short things but I lack discipline and the ability to follow rules or something when it comes to the internet.

I think Nicholson is a good player. I definitely found him intriguing when he entered the draft. Kid had a pretty awesome skill set. But I know he wasn't overly athletic and he had that small school stigma. It'll be interesting to see if he can carve out a niche in the pros.
