I sure hope this is right. We need him but we need him healthy first.

I don't believe that, in light of the description of him in today's article.

Can anyone confirm if this is true or not?
I'd rather have a 100% Jefferson who may take another 2 weeks to come back as opposed to an 80% Jefferson who's rushed back onto the court. I don't want this injury to nag him throughout the season.

Just read on today's Herald that Jefferson practiced yesterday and could be playing in today's game vs. the Raptors. Ulimately, its up to Rivers is he wants Jefferson to play, but if its up to Big Al, he'll be in the game.
Rivers said that Jefferson was a bit rusty, but he was getting all the shots he wanted (saying how quick Jefferson is in the post). Jefferson said that his foot felt good--the problem was his conditioning. But that will come as he runs with the team.
If I'm Rivers, I'd be cautious to bring Jefferson back so quickly. I do not want to jepardize setting him back with an aggrevated sprain. Do the right thing and let it heal fully, if it isn't healed all the way.

Even I don't want him to come back right now. When i hear a player is making significant progress and ould play and it's just preseason, fine by me if he takes extra time

Yeah, but it is tempting, ain't it. I mean, we've been struggling ( 1 - 3 ) and its due to the second unit not producing. It will take time for that unit to mesh and build chemistry, but I am confident that we will have a deep bench. If Jefferson comes back, we immediately become one player deeper. And like I mentioned in a separate thread, I want Jefferson to make his mark off the bench first.
