Then why hasn't rondo been traded? you are obviously missing something there in your logic. you say patience is key but aren't willing to go through the process. like ainge said there is no pressure that we have to do this or that with rondo. most of our guys need to develop anyways if we are going to build with our young guys. We aren't exactly Cleveland here. Rondo is still here but I do still believe he will be gone and not part of the next era of guys. I hope he is gone by the draft but he may not be, if we hold on to him I don't believe he will resign here.

A lot of the "experts" I read have Gordon as the pick too. Put aside the fact he is a true tweeter, or that he can't shoot or he has no post game what so ever I still can't get over the FT%. Gordon had a FT% last season of .422. Shaq was a career .527% FT shooter that tough to swallow considering I expect Gorodn to get most of his points around the hoop. Because of the energy and great defense Gordon plays I can see teams really hacking him Knowing he can't get it done at the line. These are all valid points, but I still want to see this kid in a Celtics uniform. Poor FT% is one of my biggest pet peeves, but I would be shocked if his didn't improve. Dude shot 35% from the three point line last year, so it's not like he can't shoot a lick. And it seems like all of his coaches rave about his work ethic, so I'd be shocked if he wasn't willing to put some time in and improve his free throws.

Darren I agree with that. That's y id be tryin to get that 7 or 8 pick for rondo and drafting smart and whoever u want. Aaron Gordon, randle, vonleh, etc.. Let everyone develop together. Another season like last except I'll be cheering for wins and excited about the molding and coaching and competition for playing time. Then were in the lottery again and we have a ton of money and draft picks IF we want to make any moves. I'd love to see us score another pick in the 5-8 range so that we can end up with both Gordon and Smart.

I agree Fresh Gordon and Smart would be a nice draft to go with our 17th pick. Gordon was 16-45 .356% from deep last year. Doesn't seem like a lot of shots from there especially for a SF that % could be a little deceiving. When it comes to work ethic I agree everything I read says he's a worker

I think ainge gets it and i'm not worried about it. Just an example but the place I used to work and where I still have a lot of my friends they allowed me to explore different things and would take me back too. that's rare. a lot of people aren't like that. DA has said he is ok with Rondo exploring free agency and he loves him and all that stuff and I th ink he means it. If it works out where rondo moves on or the Celtics make a move with him so be it, but we don't know that yet. The Celtics have repeatedly stated they love and would love to have him and that's all possible too. Rondo has sai dhe doesn't want to leave. Most people don't think like that I understand or get that. They are just trying to get what they can at the expense of other people which is a bigger issue than a lot of people realize. I think people's whatever gets in the way whether it's fear or whatever it is. Danny is smarter than that. I think Danny is much more open than people realize.
He has expectations of players and all that too. But he's not stupid or petty. The truth is it's easy for people to say things over the internet but they aren't there working with these guys every day or dealing with them on a personal level.
